Since I've used several DAWs and VSTs, I reached a certain conclusion. The cracked ones don't work properly. Whatever it is, some of them work perfectly, but some of them have tricky issues.
I didn't realize it as I've thought the crack teams cracked the plug-ins perfectly, but it was not true.

Actually i quite agree with the op, due to my experience I even reached to the conclusion that it's the same with cars: they don't work properly. Whatever it is, some of them work perfectly, but some of them have tricky issues!

Too many people working on AAS cracks separately, that's the problem

 

You should never use cracked AAS plugs. Ever.

 

Cracking is foremost About defeating the copy protection.
Some teams do notice & report performance improvements, after implementation.

I would go as far as If a cracked plugin (by a respected team) doesn't behave well, 99% percent of the time it's the main Developer insteat of crack. One big giant red flag. (Gullfoss beeing a present example, but they get a pass because it's still beta)
I would not consider buying after that expierience, Period.

 

Man, I didn't realize even S1 also had an issue. Noticed U-He and FL have some issues for cracked version tho.
