Pink Floyd Shine on synth sound
It starts at 2 seconds and ends at approximately 7 seconds. The very beginning.
I'm trying to use this in a live performance of the song. I need to recreate it with a LOT higher gain to use in the live mix. Chopping it up from the original isn't working. It's level is too low plus I can't Isolate the other stuff going on. Can anyone give me some advice on how to recreate it using arturia pigments or other software better suited to it ? I need some advice on how to approach recreating it since I can't seem to find an isolated sample of it anywhere.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm sure a good rendition of the song will impress an audience more than a sound effect. Concentrate on the song. The song is the bit where the music is.

Thanks for the wonderful advice. I know where the "music is". I've been playing it for 35 years in some form of musical collaboration or another because I enjoy it. I'm looking for INFORMATION on how to recreate that sound preferably using some form a basic analog synthesis and was hoping someone on here could give me some pointers. I thought that's what THIS forum was for ???

I agree with @notsoloud 100% that the performance is key.

However, if for academic reasons you want to know how to make that sound. It is a quite simple lfo modulated filter. A steep bandpass works best with a squarish LFO pulse an other LFO or ARP/StepSequencer modulating oscillator frequency(ies) in an upward sweep. These mods effect the -> filter but are rect by a EG Filter envelope that has a short attack and longish decay and low sustain.

Adjust hold and tail to taste add some release.

Add a delay at 1/4 or 1/8 to bring everything somewhat back into time and w/e.

If you have a synthesizer that you are familiar with and if I know it maybe I could get a bit more detail to you, otherwise you might as well be asking me how to build a house.

I'd use the resonance pushed into self oscillation, eg follow to suit, and modulate it with a sawtooth wave setting decay to around ten seconds. Do you have a spare synth just for this tiny addition? You must already have your hands full with a Solina string ensemble, a Minimoog and Taurus II bass pedals. That was Richards setup for this track.
