Wondering if anyone can help me. I just went to my bandcamp page (eliotwilder.bandcamp.com), and it has been deleted. I've been posting my albums on that site for a long time with no problem. But now, years of my work ... gone. I got no notice from bandcamp, no reason, no why.

I've found it very hard to contact them, but after some digging I came across their support email address, but I don't feel confident that I'll hear from them. I tried calling their main office in Oakland, but they have no listed number.

You'd think if I did something wrong or violated some policy, they would have emailed me about it.

I've thought that perhaps my page was hacked, but I'm such a small fish in a big pond, why would anyone bother?

    Any thoughts?

I have my stuff on hard drives, so there's that. I just don't understand why bandcamp didn't contact me to let me know what they were doing. If there was a problem with a sample, I could've addressed that.

Did you have the same simple password for a long time?
Did someone log in and delete your site?
    Maybe..

That's a possibility ... but, again, I have some faithful fans, but I'm no one that anyone would know. Why hack my page? There are a lot bigger fish.

Your account is there. I can see the name of all of your albums from google:
    The link

Probably deactivated temporarily or a server error. I clicked on one of those albums. For example:
    https://eliotwilder.bandcamp.com/album/saint-vitus-dance

and I got this message at bandcamp:
    Sorry, that something isn’t here.
Please start at the beginning and you’ll certainly find what you’re looking for

Talk about this problem with them.

It just seems like common courtesy to inform someone that you plan to remove their page and let them know why. If there's a sample on there they took issue with, I could've removed it. But I no longer have access to my account, so I can't do anything.

That was a weird glitch. It's back up again. I wonder how many people had similar glitch/hiccup.

OK, so I heard from BC. They took issue with a few samples, but rather than alert me there was a problem they took down my entire page. We went back forth on it via email, and I wound up taking down all the songs where there was a problem. This wouldn't have been an issue if they'd only told beforehand what they were about to do.

Ok, now that you've got us all worried.. and fortunately solved it..
..can you be just a bit more specific about the problem they had w/ your production. What was wrong with the samples? Were they from a "borrowed" or "non cleared" library/pack. Did a/some company report you, or do do they have an automated system..? Or have the bandcamp guys found it too similar to another production/song.. or...

If you could shed some light on these things it would be really helpful for the rest of us..! So thanx in advance for any info.

I took some rap samples from youtube and had interspersed them among several tracks. Bandcamp said that someone had reported it, but they didn't say who it was. Frankly, I'm a bit surprised it happened because on a good day I get about 100 plays. I guess the right person just happened to be listening.
