I'm on a Mac and have all libraries located on an ext SSD which wasn't a problem previously. I created symlinks from my users/shared folder but it's not working now. I've spent 4 hours trying everything I'd advise others to do, but I'm tired of trying anymore. Any thoughts?

 

I'm following this thread also, usually when I move my libraries I get blank contact windows and "locate file or folder" via spotlight or manually pointing in worst case. I didn't know you could do a symlink as a quick fix to reattach all the moved libraries?

 

I've tried everything. Got so desperate I uninstalled everything and reinstalled the legit stuff, but still no luck. Not even the Factory library. I've had it. My Maschine Jam will be going cheap on ebay this week. I just wish I'd sold my Kore 2 when it was viable.

 

Maschine must be designed by apple now or something... I'm sure you checked but nothing happened with your permissions between the linked locations no?

 

I wonder why this deserves a 'Nasty' rating...

 

I wonder why we have a "nasty" rating in place. The same for the "dislike" one. You either agree or disagree. Nasty? Dislike? Give me a freaking break. I don't want to get off topic here but it should be mandatory to explain the reason for the Nasty And Dislike to curb abuse and non sense rating.

@notsoloud It sounds like a similar issue that occurs in Windows when the external hard drive letter is inadvertently changed.

 

I would think that 'nasty' is usually reserved for remarks aimed at individuals whose attitude has veered towards personally spiteful. Now, unless NI Maschines have developed an intelligence and feel offended by my comment, I'm not sure why any individual finds my complaint to be nasty.

 

I'm so sorry, nasty was for the situation behind Maschine Jam because I was in the exact same situation with my Mac last year and I still never figured out. Maybe a misunderstanding with my italian, wasn't to be offensive in any purpose.
