hi guys,
so i updated to 2.6 and now it takes so much time to open omnisphere and changing patches, basically impossible to just jump between patched smoothly, im using FL Studio 20
it literally makes the host (fl studio) freeze for a few good seconds when i switch patches

anyone lese experiencing this? any solution?

i7 3770k
16 GB Ram
Windows 10
Latest FL Studio, legit licensed

 

I have 2 computers: Macbook Pro 2015 16gb ram 750gb SSD & 32Gb Ram 500gb SSD Windows, If I go older updates Omni runs very fast. 2.6 makes me crazy also Keyspace.. If you update old versions its running better even if you have 4gb win7 computer..

 

For me it opens and load very fast both legit and non-legit.This issue has been plaguing Omnisphere users. Slow openings are GUI and slow hard drives(not your case)related .Loading of patches can be improved tweaking the system. Go to system and turn off Switch to Layer After Activation. There is a thread here in the Forum in which someone explained how to improve loading times.

Always a good idea to search this Forum. I think almost every issue with Omnisphere has been presented and solved.

I had the same problem. Closing FL and starting the 64bit version of it (FL64.exe) as administrator fixed it for me.

 

thanks but it didnt help, my omnisphere at 2.5 used to run perfectly fine but after the update its getting unberable

that didnt help too

when i open it up i notice one of my cpu cores being used at 100% and then that 100% usage is being transfered between the cores pretty weird and wasnt like that before the update

 

even when i click in the patch broweser without choosing a soundbank its lagging and getting stuck, just menu browsing

 

can u show me to the link i cant seem to find it because yea mine loads slow but it used to be fast.

just tested it in studio one and it runs better over there, any clue?

 

After experiencing the exact same problem I tried everything..

Solution.. uninstall everything, clean the CRAP out of ur registry and folders for anything and everything Omnishpere related.

Reinstall from scratch.

Fixed.

How about the stand alone? Fast? slow?

 

first try turning off High DPI scaling Override, if that does not work:

I guess you had to write the confirmation code? If so you have to reinstall software one more time and just patch it. If Omisphere ask for confirmation code again write it and, try reinstalling one more time. Do this until Omnisphere don't ask for a confirmation code. This slow sluggish issue is caused by some kind of conflict in the registration process. You should ONLY have to patch the plugins for it to work properly. I had the same problem in Ableton. (Remember to patch all plugin places every time you reinstall software)

 

When all else fails that is the FIX. Usually what I do. But some members freak out when you mention a reinstall. In the OP case the problem is with FL STUDIO.I will look into it, too.

in "system" there's a "memory" section, with option between "no limit" and "3Gb" limit, what if you check what option works the best for you ?

 

I have the legit version and I had the same problem with 2.6, no problem with other versions

 

Solution, downgrade and don´t touch!

 

for me, the performance is noticeably better Cubase 9.5 64bit win 10

 

For me 2.6 was slooooww as hell,and I fixed it with a new install.Now ultra fast.

 

U can try all these other suggested fixes before doing what I suggested, but, what I suggested WILL work.

All i can suggest is finding the appropriate software to scan your registry and ur folders for any references to omnisphere and remove them.

I also dont want to be responsible for anyone f.ing up their system either but most time software and its problems are a trial and error type of thing, and sometimes we f. our stuff up learning the right way to do things.
