Just looking for some thoughts. Would this be good to make custom treatment panels out of, essentially using one for each panel to make six 10cm thick and 1.2m x 0.45m panels?

I am hoping this would work and I could just make a basic box frame from wood for the six panels and cover with some fabric to make them a bit more decorative on my studio room walls.

I have 5 similar to what you're thinking about of rockwool that i inherited from a student dj aquaintance that he'd made.
I have used them for changing room characteristics when micing, but i really don't know how they'd fare as permanant placement.
Other folk here'll probably have better advice for you.
But I'd say, if you have fun making them up, i'm sure you'd get some use out of them.
