IRCAM Solo instruments

    Hello again,

    I just found out about the existence of IRCAM Solo Instruments - anybody working with that library?

    Didn't know about these but gotta check them out. They're a very good french institute and they created the AudioToNote algorithm used by Ableton in Live 9 to translate audio to midi

    Don't know these instruments. But know others for M4L but are damned too expensive. It's a shame from an institute globally runs by the french state.

    These look like they might be of some use. Haven't heard of them until now and I'm curious onto how they stack up to other libraries now. :grooves:

    Actually even more: the whole MaxMSP was developed there by Miller Puckette as a thesis, which IRCAM, being a bit of a monster, then considered to be its own product, resulting in the development of PureData, also by Miller Puckette, who wanted to be his software free and even open source.
    The initial Ableton Live v1 product was, to my knowledge, developed on basis of MaxMSP.

    + IRCAM techs are very nice, and every few years they run a kind of flea market with their old harware.
