Speaking of Classical music, when I was a kid I used to like Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart. Influenced by my music teacher. ;) Later on I discovered other composers like Wagner, Chopin, Vivaldi, and Albignoni. Mostly very emotional pieces, emotions of different kind. I seem to like deep and sad, but rage and heavy emotions as well... just not flat and meaningless, what I call entertainment music.

This is normal. We do all like the minor keys more in general. c and d-minor are definetely the most beautiful keys you can write in ! Also f-major is very beautiful sometimes.

Hey we've all borrowed the odd thing over the years and forgot to give it back! I've also lost a few belongings lending them out to friends and then losing touch with those friends. I guess it goes both ways! :mates: What about Top 30 Albums? Has that been done here yet I wonder!

Yeah it was 1980 for me and I was a young teen also growing up in the Eighties. The music then had bags of personality and was varied. Not like today unfortunately

Yeah I agree! I have enjoyed classical music with Sturm and Drang elements full of rage and angst. Beethoven, prokofiev and Wagner come to mind.
Some of Mozarts later Piano Concertos have evoked emotions in me that some of my fav modern bands with actual lyrics don't. At the end of the day SineWave it's hard to have favourites if you are open to so many great musical styles and artists.

When you're constricted to just picking 20 bands, it may reveal something about you, to others and yourself, too. This is not bad.

I agree we should make a thread about top 20 albums. Who's going to start it? :rofl:It's going to be fun.

The thing is, if you appreciate other AS member's opinions, all this workout can open your mind to maybe check some "new" bands and music out. I find it a bit hard to pick the best because I love so many different kinds of music. It's easier for me to pick out those I don't like.

Kinda like the food. I really like to cook tasty things. I find many parallels between these two kinds of cooking.
