I've seen this post asked here before, but with no definitive answer.

I have a Komplete Kontrol A25, which comes with the Komplere Kontrol software and a few synths. It also gives you a download for the free Kontakt 6 Player. Until now, I've been using a cracked version of Kontakt 5 Portable (the quite annoying to install Sym-Link/NO INSTALL versions), and a few cracked libraries. The cracked libraries don't seem to work with the legit Kontakt player, while the cracked Kontakt player doesn't work properly with Komplete Kontrol. I've read around the forum that it is possible, but no answer as to how to do it (and even less since Kontakt has only been cracked with these Sym-Link versions). Does anybody have an answer to how to use cracked Kontakt with Komplete Kontrol?

 

I have the exact same question. A very detailed step-by-step would be so much appreciated.

I'm on a Mac, and use a Komplete Kontrol S49 Mk2 and Maschine 3, both bought second-hand from eBay. I've been told that mixing legit and [k'd] NI stuff works, but frankly I've never been able to do it. I just went with all [k'd] and never gave it a second thought. It just works.

 

I can confirm that a k'd Kontakt works perfectly within a legit Komplete Kontrol software, because it uses the VST plugin version. Komplete Kontrol uses Native Instruments VST plugins of their own plug-ins in order to access all the presets. Therefore, if you use a reliable K'd VST plugin of Kontakt, it will also load both legit and non-legit Kontakt Player libraries. I'm working this way on my Mac and load all my Kontakt Player libraries through my legit Komplete Kontrol license, in order to have all my Lightguide keys shown on my Komplete Kontrol S88. It works.

 

I have Maschine Mk2 and Komplete Kontrol A49, I use all NI crk'd soft, except the Komplete Kontrol software that I'm using the legit version at this moment.
The only thing i recommend is that you install Native Access on another PC, from you can download legit Komplete Kontrol Software, and then install it on the PC where you have all your crk'd software installed, and it should work without problem, (Not for Maschine and it`s expansions, only Komplete Kontrol )

 

No issue working together whatsoever, at least on my mac.

 

Well, let me jump in. I'm using a komplete kontrol s49 and Maschine studio and as I knew i'd need some of those libraries, I didn't even go for the original Software. I just installed the k'ed versions of that Software and it all works fine. I didn't even want to open a cracked Kontakt within the legit Software. Well works all fine for me as far as I can tell

 

@chanceking I was wondering. During the Komplete Kontrol software installation, can you choose to only install a few legit instruments like Monark or Prism during installation, and choose not to install the Kontakt player for example? Then after install run your version of Kontakt in place of the player you chose not to install within Komplete Kontrol? One of my theories is that it's not working inside of Komplete Control because its portable, and not a standard cracked installation version. I could be wrong though. might be worth testing.

@sturmpferd Is the S88 worth the purchase? I'm seriously thinking about buying it. One question, how is the Aftertouch pressure sensitivity? Also, to make the K'd version work, did you install the player, then overwrite the VST with the K'd version? Oh one more question do the knobs have the ability to map non NKS instruments? Thanks for answering in advance

@ThugLife but can you just swap K5/6 VST's over the player VST installation?

@Nana Banana I'm not a 100 percent sure if I understand you right but for the First instance of Kontakt, I open Any .nks library, switch to edit view and from there on i can choose whatever libraries i want. Just like normal Kontakt.
Maybe there is another way, I just didnt find out about. I Hope this was what you were trying to ask me

So...
In my system I have installed kontakt 5.65 R2R , Komplete kontrol 2.03 and on my desktop I have kontakt 6.02 No install , I copied kontakt to my vst folder , I rename this in kontakt 6 , and in this way when i open komplete kontrol I find libraries from 5.65 and libraries from 6.02 and they load . I try to change location of kontakt 6.02 from desktop , but doing this komplete kontrol doesnt load libraries anymore ...

I have everything legit beside Kontakt 5.6.5 and it crashed Logic upon selecting a Kontakt preset. please let me know which Kotakt and Komplete Kontrol to install.

I have a legit version of Kontakt but I use the cracked version because I have so many cracked libraries. The only way I was able to get everything to work is use cracked Kontakt with everything. By the way I have been able to use this with Kontakt 5.x and Kontakt 6.x on Windows and Mac. I happen to maintain a computer for a friend of mine that has Windows soI know everything works smooth on both platforms. When you do a full library scan, the libraries should show up in both modes (main window and edit mode).

Just install everything legit first, then get rid of the legit Kontakt and install the cracked one.
