    lol was thinking the same ahh i grew up with these synths, literally i slept with them, ate with them um i grew up with them Wedged up my nostrils

    Oh no, copy protection. I wonder why they need that. For God's sake it's not that difficult to register with iLok, Gobbler and even e-license when you don't have Steinberg warez loaded. I've spent much more time installing some 'free' software. Anyways, just wondering why there seems to be such a problem with these protections. I'm not saying that I've not had issues. I just have never not wanted to use software becuase of them.

    Tried the demo. Not uninteresting. But for that kind of sounds, i'd prefer aparillo especially at that price tag. Even the underated DRC compare, at least to my ears.
    I would nonetheless buy it as the interface makes it fun to play with. At -50%.Next Black friday...:yes:

    Soft Ilok is essentially the old PACE protection in a new frock. I've had PACE protected software running since 2003 and I've no problems that were not self induced. Softube Modular is to die for. And if you don't use it because you're all Ilok sensitive then you're a pranny, QED.

    As to the synth under discussion... It's very, very easy to use but is not particularly special or different from a lot of similar offerings.

    What I see as the main problem with iLok is that it uses too much resources for this protection. e.g. CPU and RAM. Even if its just 10% of plugin's CPU and RAM usage, it piles up when you use 100s of plugins in a project. In some cases it can also clash with other protections or drivers, and then you have a real problem to make everything work properly. Admittedly, it's been years since I encountered a clash with iLok like that.

    The last time I remember it clashing with UAD software, and making mouse freeze for a good while, when booting the OS, on one of the computers I maintain. That wasn't so long ago, actually. About a year ago.
