Wow Softube has launched a dream synth as it seems Arturia and Waves everyone else is, so why not.

I have not had the pleasure of Softube 2, which has the modular plugin. So it is a mystery how Softube synth. However their plugins seem bug free and they make for well known other companies.

I think this could be a Godfather standard synth.

I need to test it before trying a conclusion, but yeah seems good for inspiration but all synth are good in that, so…

EDIT 2: Tested, well.. nothing that Massive can do. Very disappointed.

The synth does look good however.

Wow...How do you call Omnisphere so?

 

It's not a synth, it's a ROMpler based on hand-picked samples of mostly vintage gear. You can tell because the download is about 1.6 GB. And it looks like you cannot import your own audio samples into it. But I may be wrong there.

Anyway, the first thing I had to do was to change the default GUI size to small because it took like 2/3rds of my 2 Monitors screenspace. I registered for the demo tested it for 15 Minutes and then uninstalled it.

I just didn't like the aesthetics of the sounds/presets. Everything sounds kind of similar and old-fashioned/outdated to me. Maybe it's cool if you produce trance or some tangerine dream type of music. But I don't think it's suitable for urban music prioduction.

I think softube should really stick to creating audio processors which they are indeed top notch at, but Parallels didn't impress me at all.

I will look at all those synthesis tutorial o=from the other site and experiment. The Demo is not really good.

 

What I'm interested in is its physical modeling capability. There aren't many physical modeling synths, and PM can sound very expressive. Hear some Yamaha VL-1 examples on YT. A PM + VA + WT and FM or Additive synth with layering capability would be awesome! But they have to make the physical modeling right, like Yamaha did. *In 1993!*

And lose the iLok crap, of course.
