many other Users reports this also on AN
Worked fine for weeks but now saying it is trial here as well, seems like some kind of time bomb as I keep my DAW offline.
Anyone can help ?

indeed, it's happening to me too, I've checked after I saw your post.
all other products seem to be ok, though, so I guess we'll need a fix or to reinstall .. ( I'm voting for the 1st choice )

Wow... there must have been a few bytes in the code, that R2R didn't /couldn't see...

It's quite 'strange', because Pigments is the first big 'true' Arturia vst instrument, without modeling stuff... and it got cracked in no time, super fast. TOO fast, maybe... Maybe R2R underestimated the arturia team (which btw, are capable of creating software, physical modeling stuff, true synthesis AND ultra complex hardware circuits. Their V collection got cracked, probably because it had to use some legacy code, some old copy protection schemes, to maintain compatibility. .. but for Pigments... they must have been hard at work... knowing their awesome, incredible, even revolutionary, modulation and display-wise, vst instrument, would be an easy target.
For sure, they spent some good time working on the copy protection.

Let's see what R2R is going to do.

If they don't release a new version, people will have been able to 'try' it around 4 months

We guess a full uninstall @ cleaning @ reinstall won't solve the problem...?
Maybe it was hard-coded, and slated to expire/bomb at an exact day and date. .?

Don't worry, guys... in just 2 or 3 days, you will be able to play with NI Massive X ;)

Today is March 2019
Release date of NI Massive X is June 2019
What will happen in 2 or 3 days? Public free beta testing release? Or what?

 

Workaround until fix is to set the system date back to last month. That makes the demo message go away

Strangely, using the runasdate app fix didn't work for me

I've further noted also that there's been a "arturia" folder re-appearing by itself on my donwload folder, I know it happened to at least 1 person also, but has anyone noticed this too ?

can't recall when was the last time I've had a new arturia instal except for a presets pack released on the sister site.

any idea if it could be related to one of the above ?

maybe I'll try a new install, my version was 1.02 something, not the 1.1.1, so I guess it's not related to the latest version.

oh, and btw : I'm on mac, so my version I guess was not the R2R's one

as I never use it , but I only can tell to try it
just uninstall it completely if your Mac user , delete all the files including plist at /Library/preference if you have something !
after you done it try it !

1. change the system time !
2. open terminal and type
"sudo nano /etc/hosts"

and add this into

127.0.0.1         www.arturia.com
127.0.0.1         arturia.com
127.0.0.1         37.59.16.231

(control + x press Y to save it )

3. now install the plugin

4. open the daw and the plugin and check if you have some options inside of it to "Automatically Update"
if you have some button or options to disable it then do it !

5. change the time back and see it!

 

Was able to use it long enough to know that it's definitely my favorite synth. Loved the workflow and it's sound. The FM/PD/PM and Wavefolder are great....So I'll be buying it regardless if they get a fix in or not...happy to been able to use it for that long...one month demos or 20 minute only demos suck, never enough time to experiment with it.

Perhaps R2R will now stop bashing Team VR for not cracking stuff properly?!

 

I hadn't been impressed by a vst instrument since Razor was released.
Razor is 5 years ahead of the competition, and still today, it can generate sounds and timbers no other vst instrument can.

Pigments is a true bowl of fresh air, in the synths world.
It's filters from modeled classic synths, it's oscillators, fm, wavetable, etc etc, it's 2 parts/engines, all the effects, the beautiful interface, the absolutely amazing modulations, with modulators to modulate modulators to modulate modulators.. ... with random parameters, all the visible stuff, with coded colors, all the presets. ... it's the first time, in many many many years, that i say 'wow, this is new, this is good'...

Take serum, synthmaster (one), dune, and many other vst instruments, they all sound 95% the same.
It is a pleasure, to hear some fresh sounds, that haven't been heard before like 900 times.

 

i just closed the authorization window 2 times, the x, and i dont see demo anywhere and it's still working a few hours later, has anybody else tried this? it seems rather simple

i'm on osx btw

I've tried, but it didn't change anything with only the actions you described.

Closing out the error msg appears to do the trick. Resetting the time caused my Console 1 to throw a fit.

 

that's basically all i did yeah, i did uninstall the demo and deleted all the folders when i first installed the AZ version, and i'm blocking all outgoing traffic i dont like in FL as i do need an inet connection for some of my plugs
