    I installed the recent Garritan Abbey Road Studio CFX Concert Grand (v1.0.1.0) from sister site (2019.03.09).
    I installed the stand-alone as well as the VSTi.

    I get an error I have never encountered, which prevents any GUI from even loading:
    It says :
    ===========================
    CFX Concert Grand
    ----------------------------
    Aria Engine loading failed: The file "C:\Program Files\Plogue\Aria\aria_x64.dll" is not signed.
    ==========================================================================

    I can use the Aria Player fine and load up the CFX Concert Grand within it
    (did not even need to drop .PNG to use within the Aria Player)
    but the standalone and the VST scan in FL Studio both fail with the above error.

    I am using ARIA.Engine.v1.916-r2r-2017.06.25
    I uninstalled and reinstalled ARIA engine, and tried previous versions, but still no luck.
    I turned off Windows defender (and shut down a bunch of other processes in hopes of stumbling on an offending one ... but have not tired booting in safe mode - lol)

    I have made an error with the steps of installing Garritan/ Plogue stuff before, but the problems was always fixed by installing the Aria engine again after the instrument install.
    I have no clue about this "signed DLL" error, and my Google searching has been unproductive.
    I thought i might have a more universal / generic problem, but it seems more like the Garritan Abbey Road Studio CFX is checking for a signature on the Aria DLL.
    I have tried start the x86 and x64 stand-alones, but both give same error.

    Any ideas?

    I had same error. Delete all the aria stuff, engine and player and reinstall CFX. You don't need the aria stuff. It will work without it.

    @DoubleTake
    I think I read something about dragging and dropping some .png to the GUI, and the GUI will refresh and it will auth.
    I think it was in the comments of sister site.

    edit: sorry; you already tried that I see!

    @Daned Thanks. I wonder if all the other stuff I have will still run without the Aria Engine or Player.
    @TinTin Thanks- the mixing of types problem makes sense.

    I may end up just loading the CFX via the Aria Player so I can keep the other Garritan / Plogue / Aria stuff without worry...
    It is the only thing conflicting at the moment.
    But I'll fool around with removing stuff and see how that goes too.
    Thanks for the input!

    The problem with loading CFX into the Aria Player is that i am unable to drag the .PNG onto the GUI to register.
    So, it times out in about 3 -4 minutes.
    Many "elements" are missing when it loads as well.
    Not worth it at the moment to lose the Aria player in favor of the CFX.

    But just to check it out, I uninstalled the Aria Engine (deleted its folder in Program Files that the uninstall fails to delete) and installed the CFX again.
    Now it loads but i get messages that all my other Garritan stuff is not registered.
    I say no to each prompt, i do not want to download the cards... thinking I mioght be able to drag the .PNG onto the GUI and worry about the others later.. but when I drag the .PNG there is no sign (+) that it is accepting the drop.

    I tried installing the newer ARIA Engine v1.9.1.6 (the one with CFX is "1.9.0.1") but get the old "Aria_x64.dll not signed" error.
    I may play around with this but I expect it is not something I can work around. :no:

    Ah, well..thanks for the input... I have plenty of piano libraries for Kontakt :yes:

    [edit: Another note: After installing the Aria Engine v1.9.1.6 again, I get no "unregistered" messages when loading the Aria Player. I thought i might have to do a bunch of .PNG dragging, but no fuss at all.]

    i know exactly whats happening and in this case it is a shame that you are stealing it from developer server and makes money out of those warez uploads the last months . and i read somewhere else that they (developer) are starting to hunt you as well as you have overdone this the last months .

    I had the same problem. There is a way, but it is not for everyone. I deleted everything aria and plogue, than installed garritan CFX. It works both as VST and standalone but you cant use any other aria/plogue stuff.

    General things for "non-standard" installs: block it through firewall, run as admin, for Garritan, run keygen to create .png file to drag into GUI.
    For installing multiple Aria Engine things:
    Install Products that use Aria engine first to avoid having to reinstall this aria engine multiple times.
    SOME products might include a standard engine and then you'd have to reinstall this.

    Can't think of anything else right off, but posting a question with so little info makes it very hard to even know IF anyone can help, let alone in what way.
    First, is this a retail version or cracked?
    Where did you get it (Garritan website? Sister site?)
    Which one is it ... CFX full or CFX Lite?
    What is the version number ?
    I don't want to sound like some customer support, asking a bunch of pointless questions, but some things are good to know.
    I have no problem running all the Garritan stuff, most via Aria player, or if I want, with stand-alones for CFX Lite & Steinway.
    Here is a note I made in my Aria-Garritan-Plogue archive folder:
    ============================================
    Best to install all instruments and then the latest Aria Engine and Player
    Use the keygen in the engine folder (newest) to generate .png registration files for everything.
    (Aria Engine installed to "...\Program Files\Plogue\Aria\)
    ==========================================================
    I let everything install to defaults, and will use symlinks to move libraries.
    =========================
    IF YOU WANT to try to manage libraries on install it is a mess. ! ! ! ! ! ! !
    When asked path to install samples for various instruments, specify all the way down,
    and DO add the directory "samples".
    The exception is the Steinway Basic, for which one needs to use
    the "Steinway Sample Manager.exe" to install (see instructions in that package.)

    Example "G:\Daw Library\Factory Sounds\Garritan\World Instruments\Samples"
    ==============================================
    Check for Aria Player vst .dll's in Cakewalk or other folders due to installs.
    ===================
    In Plogue Alter Ego, the "Bones" and "Tablewarp" seem unable to be registered with .png from keygen,
    so there is no point in installing those, and may leave an error message when opening Alter Ego.
