actually I realized one big thing - it's really difficult to create and mix in environment/setup dedicated to just mixing/producing, proper referencing is rather time consuming,
    :invision:
being able to do multiple things on same computer, same room, same monitors etc.. such as just browsing web, listening youtube, playing games, watching movies etc.. gives me subconscious idea of how I want music to sound like at my listening conditions, and really helps to focus on actual music creation when doing so

Looks like Populous but is more or less a simple version of civilization or something of that kind.

Back in time i loved Paradroid 90 / GODS / Another World / Full Metal Planet for example on Amiga 500, Super Mario Kart / Super Mario Bros3/...World, Zelda (Nes/ SNes/N64/Game Cube/Wii), Metal Gear / Resident Evil, Tekken / Wipeout (Playstation 1-3), Mass Effect (X-Box)

By the way, if you used to have a heart for oldschool jump & run / platformer, and you are on IOS, try those:
Super Cat, Bloo Kid 2, Cattch, Suzy Cube, Oddmar, Le Parker, Miss Claire Garden (pic!), Mechanic Escape, Mutant Mudds [IMG]

I prefer writing games to playing them, but I haven't coded for years because I spend all my time architecting or explaining how to code to earn my living.

    That's very cool but I don't understand.
Aren't they two completely different things? It's like saying I like making music with DAWs and plugins but I prefer to code 'em.
Not to mention is kind of a bit difficult to write a game, let alone a good one.
The pleasure of programming I understand, I'm a web developer but it was way more fun writing in C ages ago.

Former Gaming Crack Fiend (and former Funcoland employee. Yep, that old) now just a Filthy Casual, member of the PC Master Race who still plays consoles if certain games haven't made it to PC, such as my current adventure: Red Dead Redemption 2

I don't have much time to play, but, some weeks ago, I've finished Divinity Original sin (yes the first one that I've bought in 2014 or something... ^^) thanks to my daughter who wanted to play it with me... :mates:

Now I have to finish Pillars of eternity and GTA V, maybe in 2025... ^^

For me it was about creation, your DAW argument I can't win because that both involves creation it its own unique way. Writing software is an art, and that is where I am most comfortable. Assembly, now that is hard core art.
