I hear it has that 'analog warmth' we so desire. Can 'cut through the mix' and has rich tones.
Also, makes every DAW sound better!

And here I am just ordered a new USB interface two days ago. I assume that in a few months they'll release a new version with USB 4. Sigh...

It is going to take more than a few months.
The release pegs the specification "to be published around the middle of 2019."That release will also coincide with an updated version of the USB Type-C Specification, made for compatibility with USB 4. We don't know what male and female USB 4 ports will look like at this stage, and hope to learn more at the mid-2019 announcement. This all suggests we won't see actual USB 4 ports this year, with CES 2020 possibly being the port's big debut.https://www.tomsguide.com/us/usb-4-specs-release-date,news-29554.html

USB 4 will probably come in Q3 of 2019 and it will replace Thunderbolt 3.
We then are able to connect everything at 1 port, freakin nice!

We should wait at least 1 year to see USB4 devices and jacks, but that worth it! For audio interfaces can be very groundbreaking, this can result in the lower latency devices.
    40 Gb/s = 5 GB/s
