It's a shame there aren't more of us talking in here. Making sound design on video formats is a thrill.

Let's try a little revival and get our hands dirty.

Nothing fancy just small jabs, here is what i propose :

A short extract, like a 10seconds video, on which we would all propose our version of the sound effect we'd make for it.
The extract would obviously be something focused on a particular sound effect that's a bit tougher or abstract to make than the usual foley etc..

No competition, just talks and banters, no limit date, just moving on to another one once the conversation or submissions die out on the previous.

Any takers ?

Is this for the video ?
It doesn't sync at all and it's way longer like almost twice longer

 

You said 10 sec video and your was only 6. You can make it sync if you cut 2s at the beginning and 1s at the end. I made it for your video. I don't have any video editing tool so i can't do it my self. If you like it take it and do it yourself. Cheers

 

Sorry i expected it was common sense for anyone who worked on video to just import it in the daw work on it and export it as video, there's no need for a video editor.
Nice work on the sound design itself it stands good on it's own but seems a bit odd along with the video, i had cut the beginning when i tried to sync it the first time obviously.
The big thump blows when it's all over, is it intended ?
Following that there's also that strong mechanical chain tracting kind of sound that i just can't fit in the picture, what does it represent ?
That's why i asked, i did move things around and it doesn't feel right; that and the fact that there are a couple more seconds of footsteps after the video is finished i really thought you sent me the wrong export from some project you had on the side or something hah.
