Hey guys, so im trying to get Nexus 2 working on the mac. I've done a bit of research and found the program VFX that allows Windows VSTs to work on a Mac. Im using Logic pro 9 btw. So heres the deal:

I have X11 and Wine and VFX

since i kept getting an ISSKIN.DLL error when i tried to load the nexus 2 EXE in VFX, I used winebottler to patch the Nexus 2 install .EXE with winetricks vcrun6sp6.

I was then able to open the new Nexus 2 file i made, and install the program into my desired folder (i chose a folder i created on macintosh HD, because i couldn't find it in the set default folder since it was in a virtual windows folder)

So now i have installed Nexus 2, in the folder there is a:
    - Nexus.DLL
    - Manual Folder
    - Uninstall Nexus folder
Then i copied the Nexus Content folder from the loaded ISO into that same folder so now it looks like :
    - Nexus.DLL
    - Manual Folder
    - Uninstall Nexus folder
    - Nexus Content
Next, on VFX, I tried to import the VST PLUGIN DLL (aka Nexus.DLL) to load it up....and i get an error :(

The error reads as follows: File SYNSOEMU.DLL could not be located in the Windows system folders (Syncrosoft License Control)

So i know VFX is trying to load it, but can't find this file...I think i'm very close to getting this to run. It seems that i need to get this synsoemu.dll so i can get passed the security, but it has to be placed somewhere that can be found when loading it....maybe in the folder in the virtual windows folder? maybe in the same folder i installed nexus 2 in?

Im guessing the Synsoemu.dll is apart of the dongle needed to run Nexus 2....but if they cracked it for windows, it should be somewhere right?

I can't find the SYNSOEMU.DLL though, but i will keep looking and ill keep you guys updated.

Anyone have any ideas? this is a group effort!

i just deleted my last post because it was irrelevant after i figured out something...

    OK SO

I found an elicenser emulator by Air and a 2.2.1 updater for Nexus 2.

I installed both and now i am getting passed the SYNSOEMU.DLL....only to get to an eLicensing Error.

    The error reads as follows:

Application 'reFX Nexus 2 (M6)' has caused the following error:

eLicenser(s) contain(s) no valid license for this application.

    Options:
    - For troubleshooting information click <Help>.
    - Click <Licenses> to view available licenses
    - Connect a valid eLicenser and click <Retry>.
    - Click <Cancel> to abort.

ONE STEP CLOSER! any ideas of what to do next would be great
