The dr-100mkiii has 102 db dynamic range without noise and the dr-40v2 92 db,it's written on your links at the bottom of the specs.
But IMO it's more/as important to look their frequency response. It's also written on your links;and (of course) the most expensive is better.

    EDIT:The dr-40v2 is a good choice,though I haven't read the other specifications,like memory,battery life,etc...

Only you knows which one is better for your needs.

  4. The one thing to watch out for on the 100 is the in-built condensers are so sensitive you can't really hand hold the unit because the noise from your hand will get picked up and recorded. If you're planning on using these mics, you'll need a tripod and the windshield. Never used a 40 so I can't comment. I'm using the Roland binaural mics with the 100 and it is to die for. At 96/24 the recordings are spookily good. There's lots of little touches that make the 100 outstanding including the mic pad, the inbuilt limiter, Seperate Line out. It just goes on and on. The 100 is a great, great unit, almost perfect. Just those stupid condensers.

I didn't know something like this exists. It's really interesting if it doesn't record the sound of its earphones!
    Is it that?

  7. That's the very chicken. It has limits, if you turn up the phones too far you get a feedback lobotomy to rival a Retsina hangover, but as long as you keep them at normal listening levels, they appear to auto-cancel. The other thing to watch out for is that they need a hokey proprietary phantom voltage (around 10v) which the Tascam provides. Comes with look like a Panda mini windshields.

Everthing screams wrong, but they work really well.

The other things to add about the CS-10EM’s is that they pick up your footsteps like the drum solo from hell, so you need the optional HP cutoff on the Tascam set to around 80Hz and learn to walk like Kung Fu. Also, if you’re doing something low level, like I recorded a woman talking about her orgasm in a London museum, you must learn to control your breathing and swallowing too. And absolutely no laughing out loud.

I wanted to make field recordings in public places around London as SFX for an album I’ve been thinking of. The Tascam and Roland combo has delivered 96/24 recordings of better quality than I was imagining. A touch of X-Noise, a touch of L2 limiter and it’s done.
