All the world is full of addictions. Most people would most likely have more than one in their life. And if one is not prepared to end an addiction
because it's his/her free will, he will only exchange one addiction with another at the end.

A bit autobiography btw.

 

One technique to break any habit is to replace it with a new one. We follow many patterns in our daily lives. Become aware of the unwanted pattern, and instead of attempting to break it, begin a newer, healthier one. It really is just that simple. Of course it takes some time and practice, but then again, so does anything you want to get good at.

The cravings on the other hand are a different beast that you must tame. But once you start not giving into them, you will become stronger than your cravings. You will realize that you are the one in control and that you don't always have to give in to your body's desires. It's not the end of the world if you tell yourself NO once in a while. The world won't crumble around you. Best of luck conquering your demons.

 

It's been a few years since I watched this video but it left a lasting impression. It appears that the root cause of addiction doesn't neccessarily have to be a disorder in brain chemistry, but can also be adverse experiences of early childhood (first three years).

 

Yes, I've seen several people getting out of coke and fall into alcohol.
As alcohol is authorised and you find it every where, that's a big poblem.

 

No one is immune to addictions because they are 'smart'.

Now on a more serious note...Are you serious about you having an addiction? Also since none of us are psychiatrists but we do care, how about the real question...What is bothering you to make you depressed and wanting to use drugs to "escape" reality?

When sb does whatever over and over and in an unhealthy fashion is called an addict?

find something to substitude....i mean activity you really like.....stay away from this circle's and find youre own again...
stay away from opioids and perception drugs or you will bla²....doctors bring ppl often on downer drugs..be aware....

stay the fck away from drug therapy or stuff....blv me....you need good ppl around not this ...often it does the opposite like prison...

this is complex and science kno nothing bout..blv me...its near nothing in compare to other fields on human brain science...surely its true but not static...its dynamic...you alter or you loose...
this is also such a thing what therapy want to hammer in...so you can just give up and think for what

i kno partly alcoholic mainly heroin junkie who is since 30 years away and in job but after 20-30 years he began to drink 123 beer sometimes after work and he isnt back on street makin bla²
