I’m contiually on a quest to find the most interesting music apps for iPhone. So far I’ve become very fond of some granular apps, especially one called Tardigrain. I can’t imagine wanting anything else out of a granular app, but if you guys have any recs let me know!

Another app I enjoy quite a bit is the VoiceSynth app. It’s got some pretty awesome presets and the customization seems pretty solid.

Figure and MellowSound have been quite enjoyable as well.

Music apps on iOS have evolved quite a bit, so you better be more specific.
For granular, I'm using Spacecraft (the smoothest of all) and Quanta (a granular synth and modulation powerhouse).

Another interesting app is Zeeon. An analog synth that sounds good enough that you'll want to use it on your Win or Mac machine just for its sound.

Also worth to mention: Groove Rider. Basically a KORG Electribe Sample plus a wavetable synth engine.

I won't recommend a DAW because like on Win/Mac, it's so much up to your taste and personal preferences.
Some use Cubasis or Audio Evolution or Gadget or Stagelight or Modstep, others use a pure MIDI sequencing app like Xequence to play individual instruments and FX in apeMatrix, some use the iPad just as a sound engine and sequence it from their Win/Mac DAW but profit from tweaking synth/FX controls live on the iPad screen.

Too much good stuff to list here :winker:

I like Wolfgang Palms Infinite and still love Animoog. Not fond of any of the analogue style synths. But a guilty please is Novation Launchpad. It's more fun that I usually allow myself in a day.

Hey, that's made my day. I love the idea of kids smiling and making beats. Very cool. I'm smiling.
