In comparison I'd say the references sound clearer and more defined. I suppose this is on one side a question of source (the better the source is fitting, the easier it is to mix) on the other side a question of sound selection and eqing. They seem to have less overlapping freqs. Each of the instruments has a defined purpose in sound, pan, fx and freq occupation and with these comes transparency throughout the whole freq spectrum.

I think the main differences are in the upper mids and high freqs (hh) and a bit in the lower and very low freqs.
But, please, keep in mind that we're talking about details, you're track isn't a mess.
