So you are saying that you use Windows XP or Vista? Nothing wrong with that, but it's wrong to call Windows 10 garbage. Hard to take you serious. I have used nearly all versions of Windows, and Windows 10 is excellent and stable. Don't doom any new OS on first release/versions, there always gonna be bugs, but they are gone in Windows 10. Why do you think Mac users for the first time praise Windows and switching to Windows 10? I'm talking about a big percentage of the professional music studios. This was unthinkable during the Windows XP and Windows 7 years (even though Windows 7 is stable and excellent for the most part). Windows XP was good for games but pretty crappy for Video editing and audio production, even though maybe I would not admit it at the time.
I would never recommend a Mac user (doing audio production) to change to XP, but I would recommend Windows 10 any day. Even though most Mac users are technical retards that only can turn on the power button......it just works

  5. The only real problem with all of Ernie Pershing's VSTi's is that every forking patch is between +3dB and +6dB too loud.

    Every single patch. Too loud.

Sandyman, have you ever thought about taking responsibility for your own bad choices?

What kind of disaster are we talking about?

If it is so bad, why bother? Why don't you stay with the "Seem Reality wonderful thing"?

You give not one reference of your own, no hardware specifications, nothing! Just complaints about that horrible piece of shity software crack junk... 35 years of experience is enough for you to choose something more suitable to you...
    Are trying to sell something?

Everything is shit, macs, windows, programmers, you name it! Everything but Seem Reality...
    That's funny...

Man, where do I start? .. how about just say no to drugs?

    I'm 57 and I have 10 years on you...I'm calling Bullshit.

    • 1:
      .. Yeah..Nahh mate
Win 10 is by far the best OS released by MS. If you are worried about people spying on you (You're kidding right? what are you Austin Powers?) If you're so 'professional' Optimise a version (there's plenty around) and don't connect to the net. I doubt I could explain or you'd comprehend the advantages of win 10 optimisation for hardware and software..next

    • 2: Omnishere is shit?.. well I'm running 2.5. Its one hell of a powerful piece of software. The filters, manipulation and overall sound for sound design is best described as PHENOMENAL

    • 3:
I'm calling bullshit mate. A: You're writing is boring as batshit B: You're using a Crack that is flakey C: You don't know how to use Omnishere. I'm judging you by a ridiculous unsubstantiated post with a baseless argument that is a direct contradiction to my extensive experience with the product since its inception.

    • 4:
You are so not.. You can't spring for Win10 or Omnisphere? If you're running cracks you give up that rite..strait up

  9. Life's like that. You have to pull the loudness on the VSTi down to ensure that the output from the VSTi remains gain staged. Because the volume shift is not constant across all patches, changing the patch for another causes a shift up or shift down of your gain structure. So change patch, gain stage. Change patch, gain stage. This is from a guy who considers himself an industry standard. Eric spent most of his early career doing patches on Korgs. Korg don't let him do that. Every patch on a Korg is a near constant loudness.

Pain in the butt is all. It's essentially the loudness wars only it's inside the tools you try to use. Loud sounds good. Loud sounds good.

u should either... 1. calm down or 2. leave.

Only audio problems I have ever had with unstable DAW or standalone is because of drivers. 64 bit software will not work well on 32 bit drivers. I think your interface is your main software issue Sandyman777777. looks like you use onboard audio. Garbage sound.
Some people are just stunk in the past.

Have you ever heard talking about VU meters and gain staging?
Most of presets are 0 dbFS even untill +3dbFS.

these drama threads, are they regionally based somehow?

big loud and bossy and then naturally often not pleased they burn out with a "im leaving!!" , "ive been around in the industry" "I" "I" "I"

maybe with a little tiny bit of humility (doesn't kill) and pondering the answers would be also different, im almost sure.

Errr... yep, it should be noted as "full of garbage" lol...

Err...Because they love telemetry and spyware ? It is something they have been accustomed to in their MacOS era.
Also now, they can show their moms and friends that the 1tb Thunderbolt external ssd they bought 2 years ago for 1000 dlrs can be used in Windows too. Hurrah!
Another major point is the file system, who cares about instant file copies and robust archiving with AFS, let's switch to NTFS, after all it's tried and tested for over 25 years lol.

@SANDYMAN777 At age 47 you are definitely not the elder here mate. You will find many around your age and enough older. I 'm 53 btw. I never understood what your post is about. Is it a petition to re-write Omni2 ? Is it a technical question of sorts ? If you need help with setting it up properly, you should mention all your technical data/comp etc. Same goes for your claims of buggy software etc. If you cannot stand irony (goes for the original thread name) then this is not the place to be, because most peeps here will mock you at every chance, it is something standard and i'd like to think that most of the times it is not ill based, just a way to have some fun. You made an error, learn to live with it and accept how others laugh about it. After all, it is a multinational, very diversely populated forum.
So, you either backup your claims with proof and technical data, or -sadly- you are wasting your time and ours.
With no prejudice against you whatsoever,
    Cheers
