While not quite "GUIless," that's why I'm a fan of Studio Devil virtual guitar amp. It forces me to listen to the sound. I know it's lame, but the beautiful UI virtual amps bedazzle my eyes and distract my ears.

Yes the aforementioned are good, but you are missing a company that are really pushing the envelope when it comes to delivering quality products. The programming is solid, the interfaces usable and very nice to work with. It is called FLUX

FABfilter Q3 is by far that meet beyond my expectation in GUI..including all their other plugin, a lot of function but very friendly and approachable, I don't need a manual to figure it out how it works, and each of their analysers very come in handy to read.

Softube Weiss and Console 1 is a win for me, it shows what I need to know and the colour with minimal and flat but not too empty, by looking at it, it just motivate me to work for hours, especially Console 1.

Slate VMR, not a fan of its plugin, never owns it, not plan to buy any. But I can't deny I love this 500 series GUI, vertical and logistically speaking, very economical. By all mean without all slate rack system crap. Saw the new IK Multimedia Sampltank 4, they have the new GUI for effects with 500 series concept which I can see few from T-Racks line, but not sure if they plan to do it for T-Racks as well or not.

Even tho I'm using Studio One as my main DAW, honestly, I love Ableton LIVE concept, the 2d flat land GUI. It reminds me Glasswire software, I love the Glasswire GUI, wish DAW can adapt their concept, especially the waveform like their firewall analyser monitor. I wish Presonus can go to that direction coz I just love minimal, white, flat, bright and pastel. It just motivates me to work.

Few others that I think give a motivation to me by looking at their GUI is the new Sonnox Oxford, New Fangled Elevate, NI plugins, new SSL Duende, and Abletune.

Some idiot might say, "not the GUI but the sound". Well, I got eyes and I got ear, I use them both. I see what motivates me, and I produce it with my hearing.

i think he might mean circular by mechanics not by how it looks, like when you turn a knob right you just scroll upwards, not actually rotating right it cus thats a horrible mechanic

I wrote that my top ten only includes effects and no instruments. But you're right - Kontakt and Massive are quite ugly and complicated to work with. Why it is third in my list? Look at these beauties:

    I love that feature:

Roland meanwhile have linear knob mode or still circular and does the GUI finally remember its zoom level?

I love Studio Devil plugins... and I think they look and sound awesome, too. Easy to work with.

Hopefully they'll make 64-bit versions one day, although they work perfectly with x64 Reaper.

Reaper plugins are actually not that bad, one can at least see clearly what's going on without fancyass candy shizz :trashing:
