Hi All

I've been trying to install Omnisphere that I have used for windows but now on a mac...

Problem is disc1 which I backed up to a folder written Disc 1 and the installation file installs too fast without installing the library or even the plugin. Somehow its just ignoring it and saying its complete.

Please help

 

I'm not sure why your backup would be acting that way, I'm also sure that with a quick google search you could find a copy of disc 1 floating around.

I've tried it all... Still no success...maybe final resolution is to find disc 1 again

 

Can't copy it manually ? You probably had that idea before but we never know...

A little suggestion : try to find a 'Torrent' for this 'Omnisphere DVD 1'.
The reason is quite simple : As this product is pretty aged now, most of the links that you'll find here and there on Internet (via 'Google' or others search engines) will certainly be dead, deleted,... since long time. *yes*
A solution could be to find a [RE-UP] (re-upload) of this 'DVD 1', but unfortunately is not always the case ! *no*

whereas with 'Torrents', you can still find some users that still share it.




A small 'clue' :
As it's forbidden to provide external links within this Forum (one of the main rules !!!), simply try to find this above 'Torrent' (or a similar one), and you'll certainly get this desired 'DVD 1' fast enough. With the actual high ratio between 'Seeders' & 'Leechers' (39 vs 39), you may get it in almost no time...

 

Try this
1) Installation from DVDRs
2) Install Omnisphere soundsource library update 1.0.2
3) Install Patch Library Update 1.5.1
4) Install VIP Patch Library Update 1.3.0
5) Install Software Update 1.5.4c
6) Authorize software w/ keygen use the keygen from the 1.5.4c
7) Install Patch Library 1.5.5
8) Install Software Update 1.5.6d
9) Install Bob Moog Tribute Library

To install the patches, drag and drop the Cosmic Patches folders in your user folder. it's located in :
Spectrasonic Omnisphere/STEAM/Omnisphere/Settings Library/Patches/User
To install the presets, drag and drop the Cosmic Presets folders in you user folder.It's located in :
Spectrasonic Omnisphere/STEAM/Omnisphere/Settings Library/Presets

Another option would be to extract .component/.vst/.rtas directly from installer and put those in theirs respective folders. and take the steam library from a pc, or, but i didn't tried by myself, extract the steam folder directly from installers and join those in only one folder with the right path.

 

Thanks for the responses guys... I tried installing from disc 2 and same thing happens...progress bar runs lightning fast and it says it's done while nothing was done.

It's weird...I don't even have the data to re download all 6 Discs. It just had to be a mac issue since I got it working fine on windows...But i don't wanna have to boot in windows so i can use omnisphere....
