    Hi Mr NYCOOLGRIFF:shalom:

First of all, thank you for everything you do for the Kontakt community.
If you have two seconds to grant me, as you seem to be the master guardian of Kontakt wallpapers.
I would have been curious to know if you know the very first wallpaper that was created for Kontakt?
    thank you for your comeback

Thanks LightSound. I appreciate your words. As for your question, that's a toughie. Native Instruments, Kontakt's developer, created Reaktor before Kontakt. I'm pretty sure that the first wallpapers were designed by Native Instruments for Kontakt's own "Factory" library content. The very first wallpaper? Really can't say. Interesting trivia question, though. I'll check around some more. Here's a little bit of Native Instruments history: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Native_Instruments

Thank you NYCGRIFF for giving me time and for your info.
It is true that Native Instruments has created Kontakt, it seems logical that the first wallpaper is Native ...
I am surprised that Reaktor was created before, although it is a software as interesting as kontakt but in a different "register".
Kontakt offers a larger library, complete in the finite sense and varied of instruments that explains its success far superior to Reaktor who still has very good sounds too ...
    Thanks again CoolGRIFF Man:shalom:

Native Instruments have a real goldmine with Kontakt. The possibilities are endless, as is the music created from the hundreds of thousands sounds & instruments from third-party libraries. Any musician willing to try Kontakt will be well-rewarded once he/she learns its many ins and outs. Take care, bro.

First libraries for Kontakt were conversions from other products of Native Instruments that they wanted to discontinue (not develope any more) so what they did was convert them to Kontakt compatible libraries and release them lately for free always advicing that there will not be new versions about these libraries. Talking about 2002. As the sampler could be used with other formats like AKAI, GIGA or SFZ, the possibilities were huge.
Obviously the sampler was a early and unexpected success for Native Instruments. They knew they had done a good work but when you release a new product for sale you never know if will be simply popular or will be the reference product in the market. So they released as soon as possible the Komplete 2 and 3 collection.
They were in competition already with HALion but Kontakt was born in its first version with more options that HALion, so HALion had the fame and Kontakt the resources but it changed in a few years and the release of many libraries with no response from Steinberg, more dedicated to other stuff and enjoying the benefits of VST implementation, not dedicated the same efforts than Native Instruments to develope lots of complements for HALion.
The first library developed only for Kontakt? I think only people from Native Instruments can say. Some of Scarbee´s are so old but... The Vienna Symphonic Library was on sale on 2003 in Gigastudio format, but was quicly converted (not legit) to Kontakt format. Can´t say was the first. Also Synthogy Ivory was released on 2005 and time later appeared a very limitated version for Kontakt. You can take a look to Intakt and Kompact releases, not native for Kontakt but compatible with.
I haven´t found any library previous to Elektrik Piano in 2005 with Kompact installation and Kontakt compatibility (appears on Kontakt tab). And yes, it has its own wallpaper. Not exactly this but not very different:
