Yes that what i meant, patched version of 4.1.2, but what happens then if i do not uninstall the old version, there will be both of them installed, or will the old version be overwritten or something like that?

@blade81 What did I say? I INSTALLED it on top of old one. You are going to have only one Studio One v 4. The previous version WILL get overwritten. I also explained that R2R suggests to uninstall previous versions BUT I never have done that, and after 3 or 4 updates to version 4 I have not encountered any problems with installing on top of previous one. In fact, after each update I don't even need to authorize.

But Studio One X ( custom script package ) dont work anymore unfortunately with new SO 4.12 update on win.

Didn't work so far with the package. Is it worth not updating because of that?

 

If in fact Studio One X is not working (some members said it does work in Windows) and you use it, I don't see the benefits of adding this update. It mainly gives you new options to save and recall projects, which you can do manually. Also with this update you lose bend markers.

With SO 4.11 and Studio X version 2.72 , was perfect work ( without runtime out ) and pre version from studio 4.xx, it only worked, with prog runasdate.

 

To get Studio One X version 2.72 working again in Studio One 4.12
you need to keep the ccltext.dll from version 4.11
They changed the code is the default scrips as well
so there is a chance no other scrips will work if ya add the old ccltext.dll into the new studio one folder.

Think they want ta stop users from using Studio One X

 

I think that if one wants to uninstall and install then you must save some preference file surly, im install over and it hasnt caused me problems but if you want to make it fresh then im sure there is a preferences file somewhere

 

It would not surprise me. Look at all the trouble that Image Line goes to in order to prevent color changes and customization to its DAW.

 

I really can't figure it out what is the big deal about those color changes in all the famous DAW-s, their color settings sucks, there should be options to change color skins, to make DAW more friendly to your eyes. Cubase is the worst one in that case, i hate those grey colors.

 

I'm using the Legit version and it has messed up Studio One X it no longer shows up after a few re installs I pinned it to 4.1.2 and if you replace the packages it either ignores them or says Studio One is broken... Has anyone worked out a fix? I think I may have to go back to 4.1.1.

Does anyone know how do you actually buy S1X?
