Ardour 3.0 is released

    Great news.

    The Ardour team has released the long-awaited version 3 of their DAW a few days ago.
    Now with complete support for MIDI and plug-ins in VST, AU, and LV2 formats.

    Ardour is open source, but a donation is required to obtain a binary (if it's not in one of your distribution's repositories anyway).

    Maybe, but it's also very customizable.
    It looks more like Harrison Mixbus, since Mixbus is based on Ardour.

    It is the only serious Native option for folks how use Linux really. It and the Calf plugins are a nice setup really, tho having the linuxDSP ones would be great. We are just waiting for the Harrison build now, I can not wait to see how well the Midi is done. :drummer:
