im wondering how to produce that massive kick / bass in offbeat prog ,besides sidechaining /lfo. I know for psytrance the fact that multiband saturation and harmonics are key. I basically layer my bass with a sub / perc and sometimes midbass layer and seperate them. after processing i resample it and EQ a bit. But it seems that its still missing that energy. Does the Kicksub gets cut to the sub bass or vice versa.
How do you guys manage the low end in such a case?
