I thought it was just me but then an user on the sister's site replied in the last release from R2R with the same problem

    Anyone having the same issue?

For me it starts the application with a tiny transparent window, stops responding, and then crashes after some seconds. I tried both R2R and V.R releases. Are the releases nuked or could it be a problem with my system or files?

SOLUTION: for me, at least, blocking both EXEs in Windows Firewall and deleting all files related to Plugindoctor at DDMF's AppData folder did the trick

go into your firewall and add a rule to block the program, it will work again

Thank you, Windows97! It half-worked. Now the 32-bit application starts, but the 64-bit one gives me this error message:

(here is the link if the image above doesn't load: https://prnt.sc/m6pg8y)

So I'm able to test my x86 VSTs, but not the x64 ones. I didn't try to load any plug-ins with it, it displayed me this message even before I could see the interface. As matter of curiosity, the application won't let me click on the “OK” button to dismiss the error message, it apparently crashes independently of the user action in 3 seconds or so.

It's seems you have to reinstall the program and make the vst dll again. Of course you have to delete every dll in he vst directory before.

I just add the ddmf site to my host file and then it will work again.

Also go to appdata and find the ddmf/plugin doctor folder and delete the settings in there, except for your liscence if it's there. Then try to start the program again.

I'm not sure if I quite understood, but at least in the DDMF version you can't "reinstall" Plugindoctor, it comes already unpacked, just two EXEs and the keygen. Concerning my VSTs, I have tried moving them to other folders and still it didn't work

    Will try that!

if you are using a portable version, try switching to an installer, use some tool to clean temporary files and old registers, if the error happens before opening it seems that it is trying to recover some previous session.
