    I´ll make this thread for collecting all information to make easily home-based file storage, cloud(if, connected to net) or even small server.
    Since these all pretty much base on same usage I thought I make a thread that people like me could setup these easily and maybe even make from spare computer parts.
    I´m building a computer for this purpose, probably old pieces, no SSDs and I know Linux is the one to go, my main cpu is still w7/64 for now, but which do you prefer and why?(Mint,TinyCore,Ubuntu,Debian??)
    Also if you have some recommendations min. req. for hardware, please post and if you have time to specify(i.e RAM,CPU importance)

    edit:
    Forgot the most important, THE PROTOCOLS, can´t understand shit about them, this because all platforms would be nice to support

    That owncloud´s own server has some serious problems on loading :rofl:
    Jokes aside, hiccup on their site..
    Those are really good links on cloud thing, now let´s move onto file servers on local net
