Decent .Wav to MIDI converter?

    Any decent free or online converters out there? I have a simple 8th note chord progression here I wanted to transfer to midi and the few programs I've tried have been laughable with their attempts...

    I don't know any free tool for that. "Free" from sister site you have melodyne.

    Ableton Live does that natively ...

    of course there will always be manual notes editing involded in the process ...

    I tried Ableton's built in slice to midi and also amazing midi, but they were both so far off that made me start this thread. I was able to transcribe it mostly by ear, although I will check out melodyne...
