So is there a place where one can find Kontakt Collections files (I believe .nkc + .nkx + .nicnt) ?
Not single libraries wallpapers but just collections (for Mac OSX).
    Thanks

I think a kontakt library folder is the same on mac as windows. Anyways you should try to get an invite to a dedicated audio torrent site to download and get access to all cracked Kontakt libraries

Thank you for your advice but no, this is not what I meant or need.
I don't need libraries, I just need files to gather libraries from the same manufacturer into collections.

On Mac it is a bit tricky I think. On Windows I have used "KLM 3.0 By DoubleY", and with latest Kontakts, I think it is even more tricky

I don't understand what you mean. If you meant to collect different releases of the same manufacturer/developer in the same library stack on the left panel area, you can simply move any nki in subfolders under the Instruments folder of one of these libraries that has been added with its .nicnt file. But it just doesn't make sense because of many issues:
    1. mixing different samples in the same Samples folder
    2. filling the Instruments folder with different contents in subfolders or without, requiring batch re-save all
    3. many libraries require adding them with their own .nicnt, and some of them only accept factory nicnt

Why would you be so silly to want this whole mess if you could just collect them under subcategories in Quick-Load?
If you don't like the extensive number of libraries on the left panel, you can hide any of them, and just use Quick-Load!

if you still insist this horror, I wrote a manual on the 2. page of comments of the Kontakt v6.0.3 MacOS release page on sister site.
    Good luck!

    One more thing:
.nkc is a cache file, you don't need it, it's (re-)created by Kontakt when you load the instrument.

Thank you ultrasonic... here's what I mean exactly : for example, I have 40 libraries from the same manufacturer. To avoid having 40 wallpapers on my left pain (or an infinite series of subfolders in Quickload), I have just one named "manufacturer collection". From there I can go inside each of the 40 libraries but under just ONE wallpaper. But there are some manufacturers (like Soundiron for example) for which I have not been able to find this one "collection" wallpaper. In terms of files I have a "manufacturer" folder with all its libraries inside. The "collection" is formed by 3 files inside the same folder, *.nkc, *.nkx and *.nicnt.
Hope I've been more clear !

explain me why would it be less subfolders in collection stack than in quick-load?
And the main thing is organizing the .nkis and the samples in instruments and samples folders.
If the libraries were created with compressed wavs in container .nkx files, you can merge different libraries in the same Samples folder but there are other libraries that had separate samples, maybe in several subfolders under Samples, that gets complicated.
Still don't get what you want. Because if you don't want to have the libraries, "only" the nkx and nicnt files (forget the nkc, it's not necessary), you practically speak about the whole original library except the nkis. What's the point?
You will never find a collection of libraries with nkx container files that merge the whole series of libraries from the same manufacturer.
    You're complicating it too much.
Either merge them under one main folder with one collection .nicnt file (you will find the manual, as I mentioned above) or use the more practical quick-load feature of Kontakt. But in either cases you will probably need the original (or carefully home-made) .nicnt files of each library to add them first because .nkis can require the individual library to be added/registered.
I still don't get the reason why... sorry.

There was a guy in Demonoid(dot)pw named Fozzy1970. He was sharing kontakt library collections monthly and categorized. But recently Demonoid is down and we don't know where it will be online again (if it will). So I am sure there are more sources like that. You need to dig deeper i think.

Oh, i misunderstood your question. Just ignore what i sad.

I was about to write an entire tutorial until I read "On a Mac". :dunno: But at any rate you mean like so:

    Directory layout:

    Kontakt View:

Wish I could tell you with a Mac, but I'm on Win :dunno:
