There is a right click menu under macOS ... Even any retared Apple mouse have a right click

Which strength does windows have which anyone miss under macOS ? Games ? I have a dual boot system with two separate SSD one for Windows 10 and another for macOS.

I feel exact the opposite, Windows is missing so many features where I need to use 3rd party crap apps under windows for. It starts with showing Foldersizes in Explorer (see full list in one of my previous post)

I had been a Windows user since Windows 3.11. Never wanted a Mac. Until Windows 8 came along. And Windows 10 made it even worse. The UI is a pure mess. I need a 4k monitor just to display a menu because of huge wasted spacing everywhere. And I can't read the important information anymore, because it's just tiny in all the wasted space. If I change the character size to something readable it feels like I'm working on a C-64 with 80 characters on a TV screen. Half of the UI is still from Windows 95, ugly as hell. Much of it is "mobile first" - if I wanted mobile first, I would have gone to Android or IOS. Nothing fits. Just a chaos in usability hell. I love Unix shells and all the Unix commandline tools. Dos shell is just crap. Powershell is ok but way too different from any standards and it sill lacks the tools.

I got a Mac Mini just for some cross platform development. Took a week and I never looked back to Windows. Windows feels like working on a construction site. MacOS feels like home. Beautiful, complete, everything fits, everything readable and great usability with a mouse. And a unix shell underneath. I just missed the power of my main PC, so I installed a Hackintosh and to my surprise it worked. And it worked very well. I'm very happy with it and never look back. I seriously hate it, if I need to work with Windows (I still have a Windows 10 server for some MSSQL database work).

A lot of strenghts you won't understand because it's under the hood and one would need knowledge you obviously don't have. So, sorry it's pointless to try to explain.

Yeah but I love that. I want choices, and not be locked down by os dev desires. I can have a very light OS, I choose what's on it and by which company/dev.
There is a lot of choices under windows, not that much limitations I can't fix. I can't say the same for linux for instance. Not enough knowledge to get around all the things that bug me, not enough choices in softs.
MacOS kind of trap you in their ecosystem, so you like it, it's fine, if like me you don't, there is lttle way around that.
Well there is windows and its gazillion choices.

Well it offers choices. And it's a solid alternative that you're wasting a ssd on, so I guess it's not that bad.
I would not waste a ssd on MacOS. Nuh huh, sir.

It's extremely rare to find something for Windows which isn't available, possible or has an alternative for macOS. About as rare as the opposite, to have something on macOS which isn't possible on Windows. Like Logic. Or a hell of lot of very easy Unix tools, which are fairly complicated to use on Windows, if at all possible. There are pretty much the same choices on Mac as on Windows. And lots of things you CAN tailor if you search google for it. It's just more common to find 394559485 instructions for Windows choices on every second webpage. Doesn't mean they aren't there in macOS, there are just not tutorials on every second webpage.

I use my Hackintosh to write books, make music, develop software, make graphics, cut videos. I'd say I use it pretty universally. I haven't found ANYTHING yet where I look at Windows and say, why isn't that available for Mac? It is. The ONLY thing I missed from Windows are games. And I have Playstation for this now. Lots of games which aren't available for Windows PCs - like Read Dead Redemption 2.

I'm sure there are a couple of softs out there for good old macOS.
It doesn't change how it operates and the way it's optimized to work best with their own chosen products, no matter how crappy they are.
Win 10 has taken the same road, 1/3rd p dev apps share users datas reluctancly, why not help yourself through your own crapwares. But you can easily make personalized OS where you get ridd of all the crapware fest and start from bare bone, before EVEN installing.
It's just my thing. I hate hostages situation, to EACH their OWN.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a missionary. If you are fine with Windows, so be it. But macOS is just as customizable as Windows, if not more, because you don't need to mess with any registry. It's just not as well documented on every second webpage how to customize macOS.

E.g. Finder is just horrible. Well, it got a bit better lately to give Apple some credit, yet it was still the first I got rid of. I used XYplorer on Windows and PathFinder on macOS (PathFinder is even better btw).

While you could just move every Apple application to the trashcan, I actually kept them as some work fine on very special occasions. But of course you can just delete them. I put them in a folder and forget about them most of the time.

I removed everything Bluetooth and WLAN related, as I don't use it. I also replaced the screen manager, so I can switch screens and resolutions much more easily. I also installed a mouse driver tool to be able to put macros on all of my 12 mouse buttons for every application as I see fit.

I actually replaced the notes app with Microsoft's OneNote, as I didn't liked the Apple stuff and OneNote is pretty solid for being free. And I customized lots of other stuff. And lots of tiny helpers are in the terminal, which would have been a nightmare to make them under windows, without Unix tools. Especially as I also do some web development für Linux and it'a breeze to make macOS cooperate. E.g. I also just coded a little tool to automize installing Kontakt libraries and organize all my VST plugins. Took me an hour to make a shell script on macOS. I wouldn't even know where to start with that on Windows or if it's even possible at all with all the registry shit.

And with a Hackintosh you are even more free to customize whatever you want. Much more freedom than with Windows, because customization starts with the low level drivers even before macOS boots.

The service is even more ridiculous. Your Macbook Pro mid 2012 will become "Vintage" on December 31. Apple won't service your computer anymore. However, you are lucky as you can go to someone else to get it fixed or even DIY if it needs service. This won't be possible with the new lineup from Apple anymore. The new T2 chip prevents anyone from servicing or replacing parts. Only Apple can do it. And Apple won't as soon as it becomes "Vintage". So in the future, if anything happens, Apple doesn't care that you don't need more for making music. If anything happens after it became "Vintage", buy a new one from Apple or stop making music.

    No offense,my friend!
When I say it's some fashion with Apple products,it's for people in general.I don't think music producers, like us,go with Mac for the fashion, they choose Mac because they like its OS or stability.I can understand that. But music producers are a minority of Mac users.

Yes, these days stupid people pay for overhyped bullshit. And they love it. :puzzled:

Actually, I'm not that puzzled. It has everything to do with vanity, not just lack of brain cells. You know people who buy the same looking bag or shoes, but pay 10x the price at some special shop because it says "Wankace" or "Wankucci" on them? :rofl:That's your typical Apple consumer. People who can't keep their vanity at bay. People who love to brag about how much they've spent for a package of Tibetan salt [whilst every salt is just the same] and shit like that. It makes them feel above other people because they've spent a lot of money, and they can brag about it. It has so little to do with the quality of the product, actually. It has a lot to do with their low self-esteem, though.

That's the world we live in. Satan won. Just joking... don't believe in stupid shit like that. It's just funny to pull x-ians legs, though.
