Steinberg is currently offering 60% on some software and some updates.
We can have halion 6 at -60%....... we can have halion symphonic Orchestra for -60%..... halion the Grand for -60%...
and also....

60% on the W A V E L A B updates !

if you buy wabelab pro 9.5, it will cost you close to 600 bucks, full price..... the price that remained unchanged for over 1 decade. BUT...

...IF we first buy wavelab elements 9.5, for 99 bucks, and we buy the ■wavelab elements 9.5 ---> update wavelab pro 9.5, with the promo code applied, that update will only cost around 190 bucks !

which makes
99 + 190...around 290-300 bucks ! 'Only' 300 bucks for a wavelab pro 9.5 license !

Since decades wavelab pro price was 600 bucks ! Never did they offer a 30%..15%... 5%...
Situation i really hated. ..and i kind of boycotted them, and never bought it.
But today, until next 30, getting a Wavelab pro 9.5 license will cost half the price. It's mind boggling.

I don't understand why steinberg is doing these price drops. .. last July, they offered 60% on the cubase updates... today, it's wavelab...

Did steinberg finally understand 90% of people who will buy wavelab... is because there are no proper analysing tools inside cubase (on purpose, isn't it, Steiny...), and nobody is willing to spend 600 $/€ just to have a proper spectrum/spectrogram/bargraph analysers... and it is useless and stupid to be stubborn and not wanting to lower a fuking price...did they understand it is better to sell 10'000 licenses at 300 $/€ than selling 1'000 licenses at 600 $/€ ...

Why doing it now. .. do they need money, and want everybody to buy their apps, even at a discounted price. .. maybe someone can explain.

Anyway, there you have it: wavelab 9.5 pro, for less than 300 bucks.

Hope you find it cool (and yes, i shake every time i launch an elicenser-based app..... i have bought the halion 5---> 6 upgrade, installed the license on the dongle, did everything right... and yesterday i tried to launch the old halion 5, because haven't installed the v6 yet... and i get a message 'the license hasn't finished registering.... bla bla bla', when i know everything is 100% done... and the dongle shows Halion 6 license... which should be OK to launch the previous versions.... fuk the dongle)...

If i won the lottery, i would give 5 millions for r2r and audioutopia to hire a few dozens guys... and code a elicenser emulator....but.. wait, wait.... maybe it's already done. ..
.. because, we don't get native instruments stuff, vsti rapid... pluginalliance stufff.... only because they don't want to harm the companies, not because they can't Crack it... and because the elicenser shouldn't be THAT different from the Ilok... and seeing how r2r manage to destroy the soft elicenser in Waldorf largo in 5 minutes... and seeing how other teams manage to almost 100% crack cubase elements... i am SURE the big guys have already done A LOT OF STUFF, with the elicenser... but hey, that's just me ;)

Wavelab pro 9.5 for 300$/€ ..... or sony/magix audio editors. .. for 0 $/€

I just bought it! :D // GREAT PRICE! GREAT BLACK FRIDAY SALE.
BUT only because I already had Wavelab LE 7 in my account.
So I got another discount when I upgraded from LE 7 to 9.5 Elements for only 12€* and from there I took the Pro 9.5 Update for another 191€*

Makes 203€* total. (*Taxes included)

+ I'll keep the activation code for Pro 9.5 and wait for the wavelab 10 release for another (free grace period) update :D

You can get WaveLab LE with Hardware, Magazines (like Keys), etc. much cheaper and then upgrade to Elements for EUR 30:

Kinda scary, isn't it? Because the question is what comes after that? Have we already reached the end of the world?? Are we the final ones? I think I heard of a prophecy of Nostradamus saying that when Wavelab 10 is released the apocalypse will come. Oh dear god. XD

It's part of the issue. You can pay more than twice the price to get Elements first if you want.
I just posted that for people who don't.

Man, this friday was one of those fukin fridays...
I spent the WHOLE day, thinking, OK, i buy it.... no, i don't buy it. .. oh, shit, i should buy it. .. then. . Ok, close the browser, forget about it, tomorrow the promotion will be over, and the price back to almost 600 bucks... for another 2..3 ..4 years. .
I even wrote all the reasons i should buy it. .. then, all the reasons why it was stupid idea. ..
This, since i started this thread... I've been thinking about it...
Will i 100% need it. .. will i use it less than i think. .?.
Because money is super scarce, almost 300 bucks is a lot of money. .. A LOT(for me, at least)...

I shut down the computer, no phone, no Internet. . Went outside, to avoid being tempted by the 'Steindevil'.... i will be stronger than the 7 sins, so i said. ..

No wavelab purchase. Yeah, i won. I resisted. I am the boss. I will not be another victim of these stupid promotions, that make you buy things you could easily live without. Take that, Steinberg, your blackfriday operation was a total failure. Do you really think people will buy things just because they are cheaper ? Pffff

... almost 50% off is insane
... i thought about the hundreds of times i checked ebay, etc, for some discounts, 2nd hands, never found any. .
... i thought about all the times i checked the steinberg website, asking, come on, stein, just do a little 10 or 20%, it will be a cool incentive. .

... and said, fuk it.... after midnight, i will check their website, the price will again be ~600 bucks, so

... i went home, and bought elements + the pro update
steinberg -1, me, 0 ! They won.
