I dont think it needed to be used on the high end (would sound better if they didn't make the whole track like that) but on thelow mids and bass its just wow wow ka pow pow.

 

sounds like a sawthooth or a squarewave very filtered with some cutoff,tremolo , with long release and a slow attack ,probably is a synth preset,but i dont know,hope it helped

but adding is an old song probably the deterioration through time helped it to sound like that,who knows
