We're "having a battle" over this issue? I wasn't aware of that. I don't know why 5.6.6 isn't working on your machine, works fine on my Mac with Sierra. Before moving on to 5.6.8 and now, v6, I was running v5.6.6 exclusively and it worked fine in all my DAWs and standalone. Is it possible you have a bad k'd download? I do know that 5.6.0 has an issue with adding some of the more recent libraries, and that so far, 5.6.6 doesn't.

I've been using KLE to add .nicnt files to libraries. Since it's a Windoze app, you'll have to use Wine or Keygen Runner to run it, but it's worked really well here.

Dear jazzz I owe you a dinner.. I finally made it!
Thank you very much for your help, you were absolutely right, and in the end it was the pref file messing up everything. Weird thing is that no xml files has been created for any of those libraries after adding on 5.6, but then everything works on 6.
Thanks of course everybody who took time to answer and helped me finding solutions, I discovered lots of things I didn’t know. That was awesome :thanks:

    Thanks for this post guys!
I was able to add "Ventus Winds - Duduk" in Kontakt 5.6.0, but It wasn't showing up in Kontakt 6.
Changing the SNPID Number in the xml File to the one in the NICNT file did the trick for me (make sure to close every Kontakt App/Vst).

Also 5.6.0 standalone works way better to add libraries than 5.6.6 (crashes also for me)
