Can anybody tell me why some orchestral libraries only come with one or two octaves of notes to play?

If possible could anyone point me in the direction of libraries or vsts that have a fuller range of notes.

    Thank you

It´s either instrument´s tone range limitation or samplers timestretch limitation(i.e sample can´t be tuned up or down without audible difference)

Omnisphere did the trick for me. Full-scale stuff.
And Serum has some inferior sound as well.

    Addictive Drums for... drums.

And a really CPU-heavy Diva for the vocal parts.

Then it´s probably limited by instrument(vst) or maker of it. Care to share example?
Omnispere is synth just like serum and others, basicly unlimited tone range. Maybe he was talking something like violin real instrument with playable range

No problem, I've noticed Symphobia 2 has some patches where it's limited, Cinematic strings also...Here's a screenchot for example, perhaps you could tell me what's going on

I've noticed a vst like edirol orchestral has the full range with most instruments. Any reason behind this?

Especially if you are using special/unusual articulation, it can be even more limited tonal range

If you want full range, better to use a synth instead.

Do you play real instruments? Physical limitations can a b¤#"¤ and a blessing, as you need to space out things to create sonority.
