When do you want to convince yourself "not to produce any kind of dance music"?

The only music that is/was damaging to the world was/is General MIDI music (AKA GM music). It destroyed some movies and TV-series during the late 80's and 90's. Unintentionally it led to people either hating it or starting to make music that sounded like this, which prolonged its life cycle. Even today you can hear people releasing music in this horrible stylistic form.

First of all, your statement is opposing one big part of music to the supposed to be true art and music beauty...
Which is exactly the opposite of an artistic approach.
If you dont feel dance music why would you have a problem with it? Unless you have multiple personalities?
Just follow your feelings, there are a lot of different "dance music" and even if EDM is not my cup of tea, I heard some very creative and interesting tracks in that genre.
As well as you can find some jazz tracks that are repetitive and using the same ol' 2 5 1 scheme over and over again..

Music is an art that can offer very different things, from simple joy and energy, to angriness, love, to complex feelings, and a long etc...there is no need to limit music, nor any art, to only one thing.

So I don't think the problem comes from a specific genre. It's more about each one commitment to creativity.
Which by the way is not mandatory either, but as you express this as a problem, this is what you may have to do.

My theory that of course may only apply to me is that it is important to have different music to suit all your needs. You only have to listen a film soundtrack to hear the type of music that is guaranteed to make you feel sadness, pain, anger, elation, love, in fact the whole range of human emotion. The full orchestra is always at the heart of it. Try doing that at 120 bpm. If however you just want to dance, then I understand totally why you might want a primitive rhythm although why you would want to listen to that in a car at 120db with the sub ripping your heart out is beyond me. In my rock band days there would be the the songs I enjoyed playing, usually in the first set and then the old hackneyed stuff the drunk punters wanted to hear, second set. There is music to encourage you to buy in shops and to put you to sleep in lifts. I think the main popularity of electronic beat music for the budding bedroom musician, is that with little knowledge of music you can quickly stitch together a lot of other peoples samples, sounds, beats, and come up with something that sounds something like music which must be gratifying. And if that is not enough you can have 4 minutes 33 seconds of silence. Watch the copyright on sampling that one though.

No. The true #1 enemy of the music world is $$. Commercialism. Over saturation and, wait for it; EGO!

    Full stop.

The 'affordable' DAW revolution within electronic music caused it to oversaturate since every little goat in a bedroom with a computer can now pump out four to the floor anthems and booty bump beats at the rate of a million per hour. Add the free dispension services like soundcloud, mixcloud, Spotify and stores like Juno and Beatport etc. Combine that with the ridiculous DJ culture of the last 10 years - ét voilla; you have the useless pandemonium of today and a market kaput. Thats the true enemy of 'the music world'. Oh I almost forgot, the totally dumbed down taste of the general public of course ... but thats a topic in itself.

    Cheers!

Why did you chose terms fascists and nazis would use to make your argument? Nazis also believed that their TRUTH was the only right one and they also "eradicated" art AND humans which was/were "infected" by some sort of "disease".

The shit is not Maschine or vstis or Japanese synths(which are nice to my ears),but what people release/make with it.
And the shit is music industry because people buy shitty music.

I find phenomenal all the stuff we have today for making music. It's awesome, and that sound better than ever.We can achieve professionnal results at home, what a great era!
I remind when I started making music in the late 90's with 2 or 3 synths,no computer, that was very hard to make something decent. No comparison with todays with powerful computers and internet!
