it has nice sound, many unusual sound generators, filters, and has many effects, outdated ui and functions, so, dont like it,

europa has warm sound, and vintage dx keyboard like fm sound, you can also play it in their official site in chrome browser with midi keyboard,

the sound itself was good indeed, but not good at top line, a $2000 roland system-8 or new yamaha modx can easily beats them all,

probably a 32bit dac with extreme high sample rate and low latency with top end pc via high price cable out to high end mixing console and di or hardware effects to summing unit can rescue those vst synth, however, im not a rich man,

sugay bytes aparillo, bazille, faw circle, minibit, sektor, system-1/8, quanta, reaktor, chromaphone, really worth to challenge, and sorry, cant capable for works

I can't have a favorite. So far most of them are my "go-to" synths, but what i go to them FOR, is to explore and learn them.
A few years back I learned how to work some classic emulations because I had fooled with old hardware synths, but I don't really want to mess with them much now (Arturia gathers dust). The abilities and some of the interfaces on these newer synths are so amazing.
I have made decent sounds from scratch only with Serum and a couple of free basic synths.
Most others I have saved a few presets and altered a few. I don't know if I will ever fully learn any and remain a tweaker forever!
I have more "sounds" than I'll ever make my way through...
I have an expression pedal, plus the mod wheel and I've just discovered again what made me so interested in hardware synths back in the day.
It's not the same as being able to manually tweak any knob realtime, but so many patches are mapped and easily modified, too.
Sorry to go on like this when i don't have a go-to synth yet... but night before last i hooked up the pedal and i'm excited :P

3xOsc thru real SSL console to Studer tape (optionally thru Fairchild 670 hardware).
Connected with Mogami and Neutrik. Soundcard AD/DA - Realtek 97.
With 2 bottles of Vodka it sounds awesome, while with morning hangover it is a totally headache.

If not seriously: Diva, Spire, Legend, Serum, Sylenth1, TAL, some others

    Currently it's Synthmaster One.
Tomorrow it might be something else.

I might have to check out that Uvi Falcon, I love Tal soft synths as they are easy to use, and I think U-he Bazille is up there, i am deffinetly a fan of simple gui's as I hate it when there is to much going on.

Omnisphere, Diva ( when my CPU allows it ), Spire.
they're the main synths I use, most of the others are used from time to time when I decide to explore pure creativity

Arturia V collection for some of the vintage sounds, even though Diva is doing a great job at this

all greed aside, the more tools the better, as long as they're complementary of the other synths ( + I don't like tweaking except if I want something very specific, like an arpeggiator melody, or a slightly more Fx'd or aggressive sound than the preset originally is, stuff like that )

Ok now you have to use Sylenth1 and make a short song called "I am the Synth I Use the Most" &
    a vocoder is mandatory!

It used to be Oddity 2 until last year I got stuck with Zeeon, iMonoPoly, iWavestation, PPG WaveMapper, Model D and Groove Rider on iOS.
Tweaking synth sounds is so much more fun there.

If I had to pick an analog beast it would be Zeeon.
iWavestation has all those classic 80s pcm waves for D-50'ish sounds and WaveMapper has all the exciting wavetable features.

On the Mac it's probably Arturia Synclavier atm. If I only had more time to expand my own library of Synclav FM sounds :chilling:

I haven't yet found a synth that can do it all, the closest candidate could be Kontakt.

About Europa: As I'm still using thor from time to time, I don't miss Europa too much.

Most likely it'll be Pianoteq or Arcsyn or Legend or Omni or smthn from XILS.

If you can adjust ur body's own PWM & OSC shape manually (I wonder which knobs he turns!) then using a vocoder just seems like extravagant showing off! XD

I might be cheating here, but it's easily Reaktor. For me it's the perfect balance between vast possibilities and intuitive, readymade instruments. Userbase is peerless afaik. At this point I use it on every project, often 5+ instances. Crazy granular systems, an otherwordly steampipe physical model that has become a regular in my work, whatever bread-and-butter subtractive/fm/additive/alien/metaphysical synth one could want. I would probably be happy with just a sequencer and Reaktor. The Blocks are wicked-- Between them and VCV Rack, I don't even want a hardware modular anymore. Program it at whatever level you want. I don't design my own instruments but I'm always hacking up other people's, combing parts from all kinds of shit and glaring at my PC as I debug it.

Lately I've been digging the stuff from Madrona Labs-- unique FM wilderness that can get seriously noisy but in a very composed\controlled way.

I'll always love stuff from Rurik Leffanta/xoxos, de la mancha, Steven Brambley...

What a crazy question. Err, hard question but these days it's: ANA 2, Spectral, Neuron VS, impOSCar 2, Wavemapper, Wavegenerator, Factory ...And that's sound design ...As for Favorite VST's I use for music, that question is easier ...Anything that works in the mix
