Additional improvements in Update 9.5.40:

High precision recording and format export
Cubase 9.5.40 can now export audio files with a 64-bit float and 32-bit integer bit depth.
It is now possible to record audio files with a 32-bit integer bit depth!

Much that I love Cubase this update is a bit buggy, especially if you run the app in 64 float, when you apply the update it “automatically” selects 64 bit file depth. This mean when you next fire up Cubase it runs like a dog (64 bit audio files) and half the functions don’t work as they have trouble processing the new 64 bit format. Ie. the midi to sample conversion, the media bay and possibly other issues I've not yet found. Simple remedy is to go back to standard the 32 bit float or 24 bit file format till they fix the dammed thing or uninstall the update.
On the whole update is welcome but new features that don’t work yet are less welcome especially when it automatically set itself up.
Apologies for the minor rant.....but it kind of peed me off… Really could not understand why my ASIO performance had taken a nose dive… took me a day to work it out, b****s.

I also am not having any problems with this update I'm on a High Sierra Mac actually I think it runs better PS what I'm really looking forward is to Cubase 10 I hope I hope I hope they include the automatic audio alignment like they have a nuendo 8

 

Which is 11 bits more than it is physically possible to meanigfully drive through a monitor. It's the bits you can't hear that make it so much better?

The noise floor of electrons passing through metals is at roughly -126dBFS (21 bits).

 

The issues seems to be on the Windows side....I'm having a problem where Channel Strip Presets show in the menu but won't load.

 

Did they bring back the color scripting ?
i couldnt apply color schemes to 9.5 , so i am still on 9 !
can stand the default look

Its quite normal to see iZotope in there as they use a wrapper, but if you do find something you dont think should be there you could always try reactivating it by highlighting the plugin and clicking Reactivate in the lower panel see pic...

 

BTW make sure you have saved you session first as it could crash Cubase...

 

record audio files in 32bits is totally BULLSHµT.

Audio converters are 24bits internal.
