Dr. Dre would take a month making a Chronic beat and that's why we're still digesting them till this day....they were dense, layered, full and warm and had sounds you can''t even hear unless you listen up close....

appreciated the love guys , i had literally woke up and saw the post and got straight to it .but i will put in pain on this later on today and make it full production . i usually layout the core concept of the beat for the artist im workin' with or on then add on after vocal cuts so i dont overly produce and focus on the vibes. !!!

With this approach you can't make critically-acclaimed memorable music no matter how many times you flip it.

na I would say its finished, the idea is done. in any case he should then make another one, unless you smell you strike gold the "best" approach is to make another take, specially if its a "fast flip it one hour" kind of thing.

some ideas have wings directly and some dont. now if he had spent a couple of days on it then maybe he would have felt it had more to explore.

 

Hey people, I decided to give it a go. Take a listen. I extracted the vocals from the YouTube clip with Ozone Rx7. If I'd had access to the original recording, maybe it would've sounded a little less phasey. I did what I best could. I'm testing a new speaker setup, so any pointers toward the soundscape will be much appreciated.



DISCLAIMER: I have never ever done anything in this style in my life. I don't even know which style, if any, this can be placed into. Bear with me. I really put my heart into it. As always, I'm thick-skinned, so I can take constructive criticism.

great take on it! hate to point out though the guitar notes are out of tune or out of key, it really kills your ideas potential. the chords and bass seem to be fine. is there any chance you could redo and check what was wrong with your guitar? sorry, but if i hadn't liked it I wouldn't have bothered commenting..
