  1. From the UK Financial Times:

When it was released in 1977, Brian Eno and David Bowie were working together in Berlin. Eno told Bowie to stop what he was doing and listen. “This is it, look no further,” Eno said. “This single is going to change the sound of club music for the next 15 years.” This was an understatement.

Hey, nice to finally talk after lurking for ages! This track is the root ofelectronic music, don't get me wrong there's so many others who shaped where we are today but this track in particular gavedance music, for want of a better term - hedonism - and without that feeling house, techno, whatever you want to call wouldn't be what it is today or tomorrow that feeling of abandonment is the core of everything. Am I wrong?

What an old thread. Whoever is still around and sees this, thanks a lot for all these great tracks !
I certainly don't have your music culture, but here are some of my classics and most beloved ones.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Trance:
Let's begin with the track that is said to have started it all :
    Li Kwan - Point Zero

    Icon - Desire (Icarus mix)

Yantra - The Birth of Stars

Electrotete - I love You (Remix)

Full Moon Fashions - Always Feed The Fish

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Electronic:
    Gabriel Le Mar - Bob

Rapoon - Waddi Haj (slow and trippy one, in between electronic & ambiant i'd say)

    Silicon Scally - Parallel Array

    Saru - System Failure

    Jerome Isma-Ae - Underwater Love

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the more techno/house genre, if you don't know already :
Kaito / Hiroshi Watanabe : his albums are gorgeous...
And the track I could listen to all my life : Vince Watson - Timeless (Live At Berghain), the live version, very important !
