Why do I get more crackles in Live 10 Suite then any other DAW with the same interface setting?

Is Live 10 (running Win10 here) just more of a resource hog? Just purchased a Roland Rubix 22 here. I'm setting the interface to 48K with a buffer of 2 which equates to 144 samples. In Live 10 using just two plugins I get crackling at that buffer size when other DAW's have no problem with the exact same plugins and buffer setting. Can any Live users shed some light as to why this is, and how to correct the issue? Obviously, I don't want to have to increase the buffer size resulting in more latency at that samplerate. Other DAW's I've tried without issue are Cubase 9.5-30, and Studio One 4.1 . The two test plugins are the latest Bias Amp 2 and Eventide's UltraReverb. Not all the presets in Bias Amp 2 cause the issue just certain ones that utilize a slightly higher CPU usage. As I mentioned, that's not the case with the other two DAW's, they sound fine with no crackling.

what was you're buffer size? I get crackling at 64 and sometimes at 128 buffer size with 48K sample rate even when LatencyMon show no problems. So there is a issues with Ableton on Windows I guess. My Presonus Quantum could probably function without any cracling on 32 buffer size in Studio One, but it's hard to change DAW when you have gotten use to one....

As stated above the buffer size is 144 samples which equates to:
    Input Latency of 5.56ms
    Output Latency of 6.63ms
    Overall Latency of 12.3ms
I agree with you, something isn't quite right with Live 10 for Windows. I'm relatively new to Live and keep going back to it for laying down song ideas mostly guitar riffs etc... This is disappointing.

don't think it matters much but standard buffer size is 32, 64, 128, 256, 512 ...not 144, is that a custom setting or something? By the way some plugins is worse than others. I tested Bias Amp right now and it seems like that plugin is in the worse category. So maybe AmpliTube 4 is a better solution, that being said all Amplifier plugins are pretty heavy stuff for the pc, DAW to handle realtime. Maybe try Amp from Ableton in categories Audio Effects. Pretty crappy but just see if the problems disappear

You'd have to ask Roland why they did it this way. Their Rubix control panel has the buffers sizes listed like that. They go from numbers 1-7. Number 1 being the lowest. Unfortunately, Bias Amp 2 has a bunch of matched amps that sound really good that you can download. Since I'm running on a Hackintosh here with both Win10 and macOS Mojave on separate SSD. I can attest that in Mojave Live 10 works fine with Bias Amp 2 at the same buffer setting.

Just loaded the same Bias Amp 2 preset under macOS Mojave and works fine without any crackles etc... Look at the load indictor differences for the exact same thing.
Windows 10 r1809 shows 45% when loading the preset Lighting
macOS Mojave 10.14 shows 13% when loading the preset Lighting
WTF? So why the large discrepancy? It sure looks like it is pointing to Live 10 as the problem since the other DAWS seem to be managing the same program and preset without issue.

Yepp and some other plugins functions better in Live 10 than for example Cubase or other DAW's. Live 10 has some issues that is for sure, very slow on opening after a windows restart and overall slower than Live 9 was. I probably gonna buy Cubase on Windows in the future, but still use Ableton. Two DAW's are enough for me
