Greetings from Argentina!

A couple of weeks ago we released our first single and I thought why not throw it in here and maybe (if I'm lucky) get some feedback from some random corners of the world.

For the time being we're just a duo but we're in the midle of putting a band togheter and recording our first EP. I recorded it, mixed it, and mastered it in my home studio (also played drums, bass, lead guitar and i'm one of the voices too ).

Could hear only 30 seconds as dont have spotify account... Song sounded good to me... Needs a more pronounced low end though...

Pls upload non spotify link if you can...

 

Seems cool, so far. Looks like we get to hear the chorus only though. I agree about some needed mix adjustments but this would have some potential imo

Liked so much! Listened to it in a mac book, not in a good sound system, so my apreciation is about musicallity, composition, arrangements. Transmits energy, good dinamics and
phrasing, lot of vibe, good production! Reminds me a good time from rock nacional, when musicians were focus on inspiration. Keep going!

Thanks, I was insecure about that, as this is the first song I mixed in a new control room. When I listened to it in other enviroments I thought it needed more bass but I couldn't make it work like I wanted.

I don't really know what you mean with "wrong placement" but I totally agree that it sounds too wide, like the guitars are too pushed to the extremes, almost feeling lonely in there. It was a concious decision, tho, as my mix references at the time where really old and minimal disco tunes where that usually happens. Don't like it on my studio monitors, but LOVE IT on the usual cheap mediums.

Hehe well I tried to make those elements very prominent and they really sounded prominent in most mediums. The idea was being radiofonic and in your face but "not big"

Amazing job, absolutely nailed it, nothing wrong at all in the mix at all, sounds perfect (listing on good monitors), great space and vocal placement, the eq is right.Kick there with the bass and punchy.

What microphones where used? Vocal mix also please.
What outboard hardware was used, including amps, what software was used, plugin chains, vocal,
How did you get the mix to sound so clean, what there much compression and reverb,
What did you use to master this track..Thank you in advance, and look forward to hearing more.

love the energy of this song. great job. i agree that there seems to be a weakness in the bottom end. but i actually like the expanded audio image. sounds great in headphones. keep up the great work.

 

Great song! Love it a lot. Anthemic. Super freaking catchy and danceable. Almost annoyingly so! To the extent (although I have no idea what most of the words are!) I kinda imagine it (56s+) being the start of a theme from a TV show called Amigos, and hope someone (you?) will edit this:

To make it less annoying! Or maybe (if you make a video) have your band jump in and out a fountain with 90s haircuts? It's the least you could do... :D
