I agree. This forum has lasted a lot with negative ratings. It's a success but the downvoters trolls are a real problem.

There's still hope for me with like-bullshit-minded people like you lol

@Herr Durr my friend I'll miss you but do what you feel like.

Seeing the last posts I think the OP is also leaving and wants to be sure we all know why. Mixed feelings about this.

Seeing mods posts I think this is related to Foster and possible clones special treatment. I even agree there's been probably that special treatment, not so much to leave the forum or stress myself about it.

Thank you SAiNT for your wise actions and moderation we've experienced over the years.
I'd also like to thank the other moderators doing a comparably great job in usually finding a great balance between acting and treating people with the respect that intelligent human beings with good intentions deserve.
Sometimes, little "funny" insults concerning other members sneak in, and faster than you turn around, others hop on the insult train bashing even harder. I've noticed behaviour like this here and there, and I just ignored it because that's the way people are, since the stone age.
It helps maintaining the quality of this forum to stop this when appropriate, the earlier the better.

Thanks to everybody who made AS what it is today :D

A bit selfish and childish around here recently? No one should be emotionally invested in a digital forum to the point where it turns into a sap opera in one's life. Stay on the forum. Contribute every once in a while. Help people. Help yourself. Relax and focus on the goal. Music.

I hope that everyone decides stay.

I agree, but sometimes is difficult. Let's say you've contributed with a lot of music theory threads. Or many posted tracks.
If trolls or troll-like behavior trashes your posts/ratings I can understand people getting pissed off.
Of course, it would be better don't let them get in your head, but it's human.

 

I agree, analogue forums are way better.

I love the idea of the "sap opera" :D that someone mentioned, but I like your desk lamp idea better =) So long as it's done in the right, measured and considered way. This is the way:

sure. point taken. i was picturing more of a chaotic abandon, but i see no reason why we can not maintain decorum and an erudite noble dignity while totally losing our s**t.

in my estimation it will only take one more member deleting their account and we all spontaneously melt into a pool of liquid salt, so we will probably not be able to properly carry out the proposed end game. ;)

And even though Her Durr did seem to be humorous the only thing I really regret about him leaving is never seing the long awaited update to his profile pic! Does anyone know who was that conductor!?
