I can imagine a few more who still do.
It's the little things that make a product fit for professional use, and Audition, just like Ableton Live, never gets in the way of what I want to to.
Be it instant, non-delayed audio preview in the file browser, drag and drop and rename operations, freely adjustable keyboard shortcuts, an extensive marker and marker-based selection/editing/processing system, a powerful noise print based denoiser that can be misused for all kinds of weirdness because it's very flexible, a "transform multiplication" otherwise only known from E-Mu samplers, very very powerful batch processing, an insane set of filters, a spectrum analyzer with memory knobs, click/pop repair that works, quick free-form envelopes and fade curves, oh I have to stop now.
It was after trying out other alternatives on Win and Mac that I had to find how good Audition 1.5 actually was.
Going to give Acon a try however!

I think it's not that laughable... I have AA 1.5, 3, CS6 on the board...
I use them sometimes as well as several DAWs,
for example: I downloaded a free plugin pack from Meldaproduction (by the way, very underrated vendor)
so what?
The plugins don't work properly on Sonar X1, but, heck, they work fine on Sonar 4 (fourth, Carl, 20 years old!)
And this is really laughable
