Can someone tell me what a good program would be similar to Little Snitch for Windows to stop the plugins and Daws from calling home please and thank you.

Thanks to the OP for the question, and to albackwardz for the recommendation. I've been wondering what would be a good candidate for a Windows firewall lately as well.

 

you dont need third party programs.

you can in W10 Advanced Setting in FireWall set it to block ALL connections both in and out. you just make a rule for lets say firefox to be able to browse the web and thats it, all other programs that would like to connect or be connected will have to be allowed manually by your by making a "rule" for outbound connections and/or incoming connections.

 

Win 10 have stop to whitelist M$ ips?

 

I use NetLimiter, works great, ask you what to do when an app tries to connect to the internet, same as little snitch but uglier! :P

 

but what if the app uses the browser which is allowed?

 

Edit the hostfile to dont allow connection to that website or anything that is related to that company.
And do as i do i unplug my lan cable on my studio machine i only plug it in when it is needed like when i need to update some plugins i own.
I have another computer for internet a crappy Mac Pro (not a laptop for some reason people tend to believe a Mac Pro is a macBOOKpro) which i hate but i can use it for internet.

ESET is the best option. It allows creating interactive rules for blocking both web address and/or IP address.

 

ZoneAlarm Free is god and very flexible .

That list is good for any computer not just windowsbased computers
BUT you need to add new sites all the time as it pop up new sites frequently.
As those guys never stop.
So i rather unplug my lan cable

Oh it is a just a network monitor that happens to be able to block incoming and outgoing connection and make rules to what you want to acces the network
Any good firewall will do exactly the same as little snitch on windows even the built in firewall in windows can do the same if you know how to configure it.
