Ahahaha:hahaha:... This for real ? I 'd love to know how your 18core cpu has 64 threads. I mean you either beaten physics or just blatantly lie. Tsk tsk tsk...

You shouldn't have any problem to use your 32 bits plugins with JBridge.

This type of card wih that amount of memory is for Cuda rendering. Absolute waste of money.

That will be helpful for Ableton, but I think FL Studio 20 can load 32bit plugins without Jbridging the vst thank you for the good advice

You do not need an i7 for music production and it is sort of overkill IMHO!

I was able to produce full orchestral mock-ups without bouncing/freezing any tracks using an old AMD FX-4300 before I upgraded to an i7 and never had any issues. If you are gaming, or doing video editing or 3d graphics (which I currently am) maybe it is worth it to splurge on an i7, but for a normal DAW an i5 should be more than sufficient. If you go with the 8th generation of Intel processors an i3 8100 basically equals an old i5 and an i5 is about as powerful as an old i7. If you hate windows 10 though you might be better off getting a 6th generation i5 or i7 if you can find a good motherboard to pair it with. DDR4 ram doesn't really offer enough of a benefit over DDR3 ram for me to switch to the current generation processors/motherboards and Windows 10.

Don't discount Ryzen either, the Ryzen 5 1600/2600 is probably one of the best values out there and the Ryzen 7s and Threadrippers are beasts.

I bought the i7 8700k with 32bit Ram thank you everybody really great info my next plan is to work out how to connect all my studio hardware because for years I have only used software but now I have a couple of hardware bits Nord Rack, EMU 2000,Yamaha Mox6,Joe Meek Compressor & TB 303 I also bought a midi patch bay might sell the Joe Meek and buy a bigger compressor working out how to connect everything then control it with a software mixer because I don't really have the room for a hardware mixing desk at the moment. Thanks everyone

No, :unsure:because he has not mentioned a single core frequency.
And also lots of programs may have problems with added threads

Thanks  I know we can produce music with less power, but I am looking forward for an upgrade in far future.

I'm not too familiar with PC but on a mac you can get away with an i5 and lock some heavy sessions with maybe 16gb ram. Video production requires i7 on mac so I'd assume the same on PC. This is kind of shaky advice due to the cross platforms but wanted to throw my thoughts into this bucket:bow::bow:

...unless you like to use CPU intensive Plugins such as Serum, Avenger, Diva and want to use something like Maschine which is not good optimized.

I reach the CPU limit quite fast with my I7-4770k

When buying my news Computer I will make sure to get a CPU with the highest Single Core performance
