Hey all. Anyone experiencing this weird glitch in the latest S1 4.1.0 update? If I am zoomed in (at all), and I split the audio at the cursor, it jumps back to zero. It does this with the shortcut, and from the Edit menu. It does not do it when it's zoomed out for some reason. It also doesn't seem to fix it by turning on/off Autoscroll or Cursor Follows Edit Position. Is anyone else able to reproduce this? Zoom in and split audio at cursor...see if the view suddenly jumps back to zero.

 

If you open studio one, click on the about tab, what exact version are you on?

Just tried splicing audio while zoomed in on Studio One 4.1.0 x64 run on Windows 7 SP1, I encountered no problems.

Weird. Still having issues with Split command. Re-installed too. Also having weird bugs with Scratch Pads timeline jumping all over the place. Very strange bugs/glitches I never had before. Never had any issues at all with S1 really... very strange indeed.

 

are you on an "old" machine?
to me it sounds like your psu or something else than S1 is failing, that kind of instability is not common..

 

Check to see if you have "cursor follows edit" which causes the playhead to move to the beginning of a split.

 

With or without CFE on it still seems to jump to zero (the view not the cursor) while zoomed in. Not the end of the world I suppose. But definitely strange. Thanks for all the help everyone

 

I just tried the cut tool and cursor command with multiple parameters (and with "Follow Edit" on and off, etc.,) and fucked around in Scratchpad, and everything is working fine. Sorry I can't be of any help.

(Also, I'm on an "old" laptop, so maybe it's something other than just the age of your computer?)

 

hey , we had very strange interface glitches recently , on 4.0.1. turned out the machine had numerous viruses from stuff...

 

Works fine on my computer. Sorry. Or not I guess.

 

Thanks for the replies guys. No issues with the software overall. CPU running great and virus free. Just that one very small issue. View jumps to zero when I split audio (cursor stays put though). DEFINITELY not a huge problem. Was curious if anyone else had it. But not a big enough deal. I can always roll back to 4.0.1 if I need to. Everything else is smooth sailing. I appreciate everyone's input, thanks again.

 

FINALLY FIXED IT! For some reason when the new update installed it kept high DPI mode enabled by default. I disabled it and BAM! All is well now. Even the scratch pad issues are gone now. I'm very happy. Didn't even think to check there. I hope this fixes it for anyone else too

 

Thanks for figuring this out, it was driving me crazy.

 

ALSO! something AS member @YFManagement shared with me. Make sure in Song Setup, General..that display mode is set to Time-Linear not Beat Linear. These 2 things combined solved the issue for me.
