First came the sweats and a feeling of general inner unrest then panic!!! ......Lol. No, not quite that bad, but still not good. We're moving house today and I can't have broadband for 6 months to a year!!!!!!!. I'm gonna have to get one of those dongles. I've spent the whole weekend updating everything from drivers to plug ins and all that stuff. I know I'll have access to the internet but I won't be downloading like now. After giving this some thought, there's good and bad in this. I mean at least I can focus on producing more, and if people remember the 'too many vst's' scenario, this is a similar situation really. Anyway peace to all and see you on the other side!!

why is it so long to get the (broadband) internet back? your new home is not hooked up to a network yet?? as you live around London I find it rather difficult to understand...

best to do bro, is to install only a few plugs, the ones you think are the best for the sort of stuff you make.
the more stuff you get your hands on, the further you move away from the basics: making music

let's be honest, there are 1001 plugs, and it's 1001 times the same stuff, but in a different package.

2 or 3 years ago, I had Reason, which I wired into cubase so I could make use of some vst's. So the only plugs I had was nexus, NI, zeta and vanguard, and Izotope.
That year I released 20 vinyls.

This year I have so many sample cd's and installs, I try so many things that I don't come to producing anymore...

Best to keep everything quite simple. take your midikeys, try to make a good arrangement, use a selection of good plugs which you feel confident with and you'll see you create alot more than you used to...

Now You can sit and watch the hundreds of tutorials We ALL have, learn the plugs and apps, that You ALREADY have, inside out, and as You say, PRODUCE, PRODUCE, PRODUCE!

Thanks All!!!!!......No, the problem is we're renting a house for 6 months to a year, and we can't install broadband in this house. The owner's being an arse, as you all know i'm sure to instal broadband is a fewe holes and a bit of wire here and there. Which as I pointed out to the very pleasant, but very elderly tech fearing lady owner eartlier today. She's considering what I said to her, so maybe who knows!!!. I'm gonna look into the key/dongles Diabulus in Musica, thanks for that!!!.
